I live in Brookings, and yes, a few of these have closed. However, many still remain!

The bit right at the end about pruning being anthropocentric, trees healing better with "rough" cuts, etc was really interesting - I'd love to hear more about that aspect. Wonderful talk.

Thank you very much for sharing. I came across this clip within the hour. Please, we didn't get to see the rest of the journey from Kpandu (south) to Bolga, Nr GH, by way of views, stop-overs, vegetation & transport links, etc. I hope your journey and mission was successful in GH. Thank you. JQ.31.07.2024.

The only descent steak house (very over priced) closed and was redeveloped into office space. The only great food you will find is in Gold Beach. Spinners is the only contender for a dinning experience. Crescentcity is vapid of good food. Brookings has some options but don't come on a busy weekend. No high food options. Good sea food, Catalyst, best brunch Fat Irish.

Yea six years has killed most of these spots. Fat Irish is the only consistent food in town. Always smiles and great food. The pizza is OK in town. The sushi sucked then and its worse today. If they don't have Uni its not a sushi place.

I stay at the Hotel Deluxe every time I visit Portland. Visiting Portland is fun (and I visit often) but the other places you show in this video do NOT look like fun.

Paradise used to be awesome when the Boices ran it. Now its just for snobby elites who have no idea of the history of the river and just buy thier way there. Paradise used to serve all of the Wild and Scenic visitors. Not anymore. Snobs only! Makes me sick that classism has perverted such an amazing place. I give the new Paradise Lodge 2 thumbs 👎👎for failed ethics.

Actually as you can see there is still very much a connection with the original animist religions. However while walking through the villages you will see all three peoples, and it is very blurred living in the same space. There will be mosques, churches and voodoo type sacrificial alters. Lovely place.

Something like this might explain the Bermuda Triangle. Without knowing the phenomena, the sky might flip flop with the ocean, where pilots fly their planes into the ocean. But how would it explain ships?
