This is my favorite Volume. So good. PENNY!!!! (Yes I have seen everything after....) One thing I want to point out that most people don't is what Penny's perspective might be in the reunion moment. Penny "died" before all of the Fall of Beacon stuff happened. She was not rebuilt until Amnity was able to make it's way back to Atlas and Pietro was able to rebuild her. The Beacon tower was destroyed during the battle which killed all global communications. So the only info Penny would have had was what was broadcasted until the tower fell. She would have no idea what happened to Ruby and her team. So the shock/happiness on Penny's face seeing her first and best friend is great. Basically both Ruby and Penny are seeing a friend come back from the dead.

Adam had a full on poetic death. Adam cut off Yang's arm, causing her to get the robotic arm. Then the only reason Yang is able to withstand Adam's bigger attacks is because of the robotic arm. Then Yang "disarms" Adam using the robotic arm, leading to his death. Adam created his own demise.

Unlike a lot of people, I didn't mind the ending. The only part I disliked was Jim making it so Toby found the Amulet and became the Trollhunter instead of him; not because I think Toby would be a bad Trollhunter, but because Jim KNOWS being the Trollhunter is a super dangerous and unforgiving job and, knowing his character, he would not have put that burden upon Toby. Sure, he knows everything that's going to happen and can change things, but he also knows about things that are supposed to happen - e.g. he's going to burden Toby with having to turn into a half-Troll? He knows how unsettling that was for himself when he first changed. I think Jim could have gone back, still become the Trollhunter, and we maybe could have had a sequel movie - or even series - exploring the changes he made, and how that affected the final battle, if there even was one in the new timeline.
