Personally I find regular Rajang extremely easy, but Furious Rajang is on par with Fatalis imo.

Furious Rajangs tracking is absolutely terrible in Iceborne, especially his beam attack is an idiot proof opening and also very easy to bait out (you can liturally drink potions infront of him while he does the attack and dodge by just walking to the side), his ground thunder attack is also more of an opening than dangerous, what also helps is that every time when he repositions himself expect him to do a strong attack. Also since his head can't be tenderized it is always a good hitzone, so you don't need to use the clutch claw on him to deal good damadge.

@ maybe he’s just good against Longsword? I noticed people say Nergigante is hard, who I considered to be on the level of Great Jagras and kinda just bullied him within 4 minutes of the hunt starting, but then I swapped to a Lance play-through (didn’t complete it as I found new games), and I was struggling (didn’t quite grasp the clutch claw technique when you counter and jump on, I just kinda poked stuff to death). But I don’t think I had any Guard or Quick Sheath at the time against Nergigante, so I assume if I did specifically build a Lance set I’d be fine. Here’s the monsters that I’d consider tough: Alatreon, Fatalis, Extreme Behemoth, Furious Rajang, Arch-Tempered Velkhana, and Lunastra / Master Rank+ Teostra (specifically the Guided Lands ones). Everything else was fine except randomness that might’ve carted me once during a fight against them (looking at you Bezelgeuse and Uragaan)

Who says that Nergigante is hard exept newcomers? Especially Ruiner Nergigante spends more time of the hunt struggeling on the ground than fighting you.

@ If you look up a lot of base game pre-Iceborne posts it’s mostly Nergigante or Lunastra. Post-Iceborne it’s mainly Fatalis, but personally I think Extreme Behemoth solo is probs harder by sheer annoyance (keep in mind, it appears PRE-ICEBORNE, but is a “4 player monster” so it rarely gets brought up)… facing Extreme Behemoth with Iceborne gear technically doesn’t count as “beating” it legit, there’s a few people who did it pre-Iceborne solo, but most of the decent times were all with Heavy Bowgun (it’s extremely overpowered in World, almost laughably so). What weapon do you use?
