Just make sure the ECU is registering exactly what you have setup already. If you're 10 degrees advanced, set the timing in the ECU to 10 degrees and check it with a timing light to verify it. If you don't, everything on your timing table will be 10 degrees advanced

how’s this kit been holding up? thinking about pairing the downpipe, turbo + manifold with FM’s intercooler kit

Sorry for the late reply. The manifold has cracked twice, downpipe exploded in like 2k miles right at a weld, and turbo wastegate door exited the chat. But to be fair, im always banging limiter while drifting, 2stepping at events with a hood dump, among other stupid stuff. So i push it to the limits, literally. Plus ive been running 20psi through it for the last few months. Still running strong 💪 Going to the dyno today to get someone to properly tune it and see what the new forged motor is going to make.

This is a super in depth video, thanks for taking the time to make it. I have been looking at this kit for a while now and was wondering what is actually involved in installing it since obviously it requires modifications. Another video I have seen mentions that they had to weld the downpipe to the turbo because nothing was included to connect it, was that the case with your kit? I can deal with cutting and drilling but would like to avoid welding.
@TreadShredders

Thanks! Check the other comments for what I did miss that someone mentioned. I had to shave the bay down to fit the downpipe, but it's a vband connection. I did have a weld on the downpipe blowout some how. I got it fixed myself with my own welder. Currently have about 2k miles on the kit with about 500 miles on it just being drift events and beating on it. So far, so good. I'm really happy with it.

Vacuum for the ECU is routed thru the grommet hole on the left side of the engine bay firewall. There's a plug there. I removed it, fished a thick wire down behind the glove box area, and taped onto it and pulled. Took like 30 minutes just to get that line thru. A real pain. The boost, AFR, and IAT wires are routed thru the hole for the cruise control. If you don't have cruise control, there's a plug there.
