As someone that’s actually backpacked, I would not take this thing backpacking 😂. Way too bulky and heavy. Car camping, or a short hike, sure. Also, it’s not a true 0 degree bag. Comfort rating is probably closer to 40 degrees. Also I find it weird you have never seen a compression bag, but say you love to collect sleeping bags lol.

It is not a 'blood groove. The wavy line is called a Hamon, and that is where the hardened steel is preserved by a layer of clay painted on before one of the last heat treatments. The sword you have there is not a real forged katana, because the hamon is not real. The Hamon on a real sword is Not decorative, it serves n important purpose... on this sword it is merely decoration to mimic a hamon. It is still a nice sword, just not a true forged katana.
