Haha, “this filters to .007 microns, so I’m going use a device that measures to 0.3, and then not show you. That’s not how you test a filter. What exactly is the technology?

I have three Intellipure compact and two Intellipure upright filters. (Two uprights and one compact in my two story home, and two compacts used at my mothers house). I’ve been using them for over four years now and they do an excellent job of air filtration. There are several other YT videos from various people over the years using particle counters with the same results. I too have a particle counter and verify the 0 ppm results are accurate. Intellipure and IQ Air are the only two brands I trust to clean the air to this fine particle level. I used to own brands like Dyson, but as measured with my particle counter, did not perform anywhere near as well despite costing similar amounts of money, if not more. All one has to do is purchase a PPM (parts per million) laser counter and measure ppm of the room, then at the intake, then at the exhaust, then the room after running the air purifier for a period of time to see the results in real time. Numbers don’t lie and exposes just poorly many other well known air filters perform. The same can be said about water filters. Buying a TDS (total disolved solids) meter will also show in real time just how pure your water is. The only brand that genuinely reduces TDS to zero is a brand called Zero Water. Again, I used to use brands like Brita, but found that they do very little in the way of filtration despite costing about the same as Zero Water. Again the numbers don’t lie, and you can *do your own testing* to know just how well your air purifier or your water purifier is working. You’ll discover as I have, the most commonly known brands with the most marketing often have less than desirable performance for the money and sometimes lesser known brands perform extremely well for a similar amount of money. In the case of Intellipure and Zero Water, I have done my own testing to find these brands are the best at what they are designed to do. Just like Intellipure, I have also purchased multiple Zero Water filtration units for my own home and my mothers. I use the Zero water pitcher and carafe, while my mom uses a Zero Water pitcher and a portable Zero Water travel mug (discontinued). I started using Zero Water 13 years ago and still have found no other consumer water filtration system in its price range to work as well, as simply, or as quickly. I can say the same about Intellipure. Simple to use, cost effective, and most of all, the only unit to filter down to zero ppm in its price range.

This product is basically overpriced. It shouldn't be more then $100 and where do you actually get replacement filters? Its basically a very expensive $500 throwaway that doesn't do any better than the $100 air Purifier. It's laughable how much these are sold for.

Dylos only measures down to .5 microns...mycotoxins are .1 so therefore it wouldn't be able to properly measure if mycotoxins are actually being filtered by any of these machines.

That laser particle counter, specifically can not be used in an active air flow. In a fast air flow air move much too quickly past sensor, faster lower reading, completely inaccurate. I have two laser particle counters that can measure direct airflow, and the results would be completely different.

True, I usually point this out. Invalid test.
@Jamesnebula
@Jamesnebula Жыл бұрын
@@VenturaIT incidentally a lot of these cheap new air quality monitors, are quite good but they have a serious drop off down to zero when there is a low particle count so whilst they are very useful for monitoring changes if you put them in front of an air purifier they'll go down to zero but that's far from the case. But it's the difference between a 50 model and a 1000 dollar plus
@VenturaIT
@VenturaIT Жыл бұрын
@@JamesnebulaI have a Dylos 1100 Pro, it's been verified to be accurate. You can't put these devices or TVOC/VOC devices in wind or moving air, it has to be away from the breeze from the fan of the air purifier to get a valid testing. And it doesn't matter if an air purifier puts out clean air, what matters is how clean the air is where your nose and mouth are. So you need to measure where you are, not at the outlet of the air purifier, these are misleading and technically invalid tests when the put the meter right up to the fan of the air purifier. Even a Merv 13 or Merv 11 filter put on a cheap box fan or in your HVAC will work about 99% as good as an expensive HEPA filter... filtering gases just doesn't work because it takes too long for the filter to filter the gases and the best gas filters only remove about 9% of the VOCs so by the time the gas has been filtered the people in the room have already inhaled a harmful amount. Negative Ions have other health benefits but ionizers don't filter particles near as good as filters. If you have a good HVAC system where you can put a 3M Merv 13 filter, just do that and run the fan in the HVAC... that's the best way and it will filter the whole house. The IQ AIR HEALTH PRO PLUS is so quiet on the lowest setting, it's good if you just need to filter particles in a single room where you will keep the doors and windows shut, like at night, because it's so quiet, a box fan will filter with a Merv 13 particles almost as good as the expensive machines. So the benefit is how quiet it is. I can take a closed room down to 0 ug/m3 with a Merv 13 or an expensive machine... it's easy to filter particles but impossible to filter gases... if you have an ongoing odor problem or VOC problem or smoke or cigarette/marijuana you just need to move, no filtration will fix that.

Lets say your claim and testing is correct why I only see few people with no names have a review? Many top and trusted people with good names know as independent reviewers dont have any test and claims for your machine. I think the few people doing to this review is paid by the company and not doing a right one. The proper testing of air purifiers is not just putting some testers from inlet and air outlet but you need to put it on the actual Lab with bunch of machines to test it.

How does the unit know when to light up the filter lights? Is there an internal clock? If the unit is unplugged, does the clock not count passing days? I use a remote controlled plug and Alexa to let me turn on and off the unit. Also, my lights have never lit up and i have had the unit for about 2 years. I decided to open it up today and look around. It’s extremely dirty, all three filters. I have spare filters 1 and 3. But you don’t tell us how to replace and procure the big #2 filter. You just skip right over that. Please explain. Thank you.
