Degu shouldn't "play" with apples. This degu is clearly eating that apple by the end. I own two and i know those "mine" sounds and that chewing face. My boys act like this around walnuts when we give them their monthly walnut with hard shell to chew on until they either get tired or make a large enough hole to eat some on the inside. Gotta be very careful with degus. In the wild they are lucky to live more than a year since they tend to die of diabetes :C Though with our loving but firm hand and a good diet they can live 6 to longer years.

Wow.....Was very adament about keeping that apple hey? Lol growls. Not so good for them however. I'm always worried about mine getting diabetes so I stay away from fruit. They get veggies however. Very cute though.

Cute but your meant to dry small bits of applr over a few days because of all the hidden sugar in it you could give it diabetes x

Yeah, I know that, it's only in this movie it plays with an apple. Usually they eat hay and seeds (special fodder). Nothing sweet at all.
