When you mentioned the nitpicking of the decision, it brought to mind a very helpful piece of advice that I heard a long time ago. It's helped switch my mindset on a lot of things I have been stressed and worried about to either a large or small degree. "Can you do something about it?" Yes? Then why worry? No? Then why worry? There's no need to worry about things because they're either in or out of our control. Sure the outcomes may be uncertain, but will worrying about the larger picture help any?

That really is a perfect way to look at it. There is genuinely no reason to stress about most things that was given so much power

i like videos like this they’re so natural, having the courage to share your thoughts on the internet and talk about mental health is admirable, mostly because there’s not enough people like you nowadays :) preach gratitude and life will turn 10x better even for not so good decisions. i wish you the best man 🫰🏻

I appreciate the kind words bubba. I try to keep it a buck. It’s a shame mental health isn’t casually addressed anymore despite most everyone in the younger age brackets dealing with in some way.

These videos make me almost feel like I’m back up at college, chilling in your apartment, and having these exact type of conversations with you. A lot of people don’t typically like to have these sort of deeper conversations but I’m always open to them and I think they’re so beneficial to have. Nothing ever changes without talking about it. I miss having these talks with you brother. I hope you’re doing amazing 🫶🏼

I’ve had that exact thought before. Personally, it feels disingenuous for myself to invest in religion purely out of fear of the unknown. I can see the existence being fathomable, but I’d rather pursue it because of genuine interest or belief rather than fear. Death is a scary thought for sure, but I’ve thought of it as something that will just happen and at some point you can’t let the fear of it control what you do. There’s so much culture and interesting information surrounding religions, but as I am now, I’d never pursue it to comfort myself about the thought of death. I also think a conversation about souls would lead to the same idea, but that might be a convo for another time.
@coolguycorbproductions3 ай бұрын
I agree completely. I also do believe that souls are a very interesting conversation to be had that I will def touch on soon.

When I was younger I realized that the so called afterlife told to me over and over from people who followed the religion wasn't exactly guaranteed to happen I cried myself to sleep at times because I was afraid of losing my loved ones and leaving this world without experiencing everything. But then as I became older it was my own mind and surroundings that made me want to not be alive even though my younger self's thought process contradicts that exactly. I think as we grow older we learn that we are the energy we put into the world and if the world suddenly tells you its your time then to just accept it. Every beginning has and end and the only thing we can do to prolong that End is to cherish your loved ones around you and simply embrace what is.

I agree, religion doesn’t have to be a negative thing. However it can very commonly be misconstrued by radical religious beliefs and be used as a deterrent more than a helpful source. I’m very glad to hear you’ve had self realization bubba
