I’ve always felt like everyone around me is so actually talented like these fancy people and I just shouldn’t try. But most talented people are too busy competing in the fancy marketplace, and I should just start debating everyone on twitch I can asap

When I was there, the hit of Law Revue was a student from Texas singing out "Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be lawyers." The whole show was pretty funny, and it reflected the desperate wish among geeky law students to be more, well, normal.

This is absurd to comment seven years later, but I was obsessed with this video as a 1L in 2012 and laughed my ass off just as hard at it now. Completely lose it every time at "some giant scales" and Benny Goetz. Brilliant.

❤ I'm here for you a few years later, having done law school around the same time. This plays in my head regularly. Love an ode to a low key 1L law nerd

I remember the exam I took a few years ago for a unit called Australian Legal System In Context. I was ill and just so tired during those days...After taking the exam I had a nice burger at Hungry Jack's. I know how it is like .... not an easy thing legal studies.

Life after law school means job because the employment situation is pretty dreadful. We have a huge oversupply of attorneys. One would be better off trying to make it as a paralegal at a big law firm. It costs far less to become a paralegal and your career won’t stall like with a lot of older attorneys. The employment situation is dreadful, it truly is right now. I joke here in Silicon Valley that you can literally turn over a rock and find a patent attorney sleeping underneath it. I feel bad for young ambitious students.
