Blow molds are better than inflatables ANY DAY!

I'd choose plastic blow molds over inflatables ANY DAY! The only edge that inflatables have over blow molds is that they require less storage space but that's all. Inflatables looks too simple like a little kid's drawing and very unrealistic. When inflated, they look like the entrance to some kiddy place and when deflated, they look like something that died. Plus, if it rains or snows when they're deflated, you have to clear everything off before you can inflate them. They're also an easy target for vandalism, all a vandal has to do is cut a hole in it and it's ruined. Blow molds are much more realistic looking. They're very detailed and look the same whether turned on or off. They're agreeable to any weather. Plus, they don't blow over as easily in the wind as inflatables do. Plus, they're more beautiful. People who still use them are definitely people who love to decorate and put work into it. People who use inflatables are lazy.

Hey there! I have a bunny like the ones you showed at the end and was wanting to repaint it, but wanted to ask you, what kind of paint do you use to paint your blowmolds? How do I keep them from chipping?

i see nobody has replied to i'll tell u how i did mine. first strip the paint that u want to remove using "citrus strip" available at Lowes or home depot. its pretty thick so if u use a paint brush aid be careful, ti should stay on just the area u want to strip. of course if ur repainting the whole thing it slap it on and follow the directions. u may have to repeat the stripping process if it doesnt all come off the first time. after ur done, get some warm water mixed with dish detergent and use a a brillo pad (steel wool pads) and gently scrub to remove any leftover loose paint. this will slightly rough up the surface for better paint adhesion, so only use the pad on areas that are to be painted, but not on areas where no paint will be used. you dont have to do this if u want to keep a totally smooth surface, but i found it to be helpful. next, mask off all the areas u dont want to paint, MAKE SURE the tapes edges a totally stuck down or paint might bleed thru. u can only paint one color at the time. in between colors u need to wait 24 to 48 hours for the paint to completely cure, before going to the next color, if u dont, when u tape over the newly painted area to go to the next color, the paint may come off when u remove the tape. i use krylon fusion spray paint. its made for plastic, and works great. another thing is u need to paint it outside in the dark (at night) so u can see how thick ur gettin the paint on, the blow mold should be lit, so u can make sure the light is coming thru. it doesnt take much paint! very light coat. u may need to practice on scrap plastic til u get the hang of it. do not get the spray too close, a little goes a long way! hope this helps
