I love this podcast! But I can't lie, Joshua is a psych0 lol how is he going to say the daughters transformation wasn't a sad moment lol. It was clearly both, we were angry at the father for the sadness he's caused to us Definitely deserves a spot on saddest moments for sure, it was a brief one though, it's not like we left just remembering that but it did well for the time it had

yo, it’s not that the death wasn’t sad but remember these guys try say Erwin’s death wasn’t sad, so I was coming from a point that it’s similar, but even when we speak about that death from the anime community it’s not really focussed on her - more about how her dad is like the worst dad in anime 😅

I feel like the people saying the last episode is confusing need to realize that the entire plot and symbolism isn’t going to be spoon fed to you. It’s a strange unique abstract anime through and through so it doesn’t make sense to me that people dislike the ending BECAUSE it’s abstract and lacking order. There was order. There was a climax. This show is not going to hold your hand

Some of this list had Seinen anime too, how you guys haven't seen Tatami Galaxy (super unique masterpiece) it's crazy. Sam even did a review of this. Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor? so much more Sam you could've done a better job and put up some real masterpieces on this, a lot of these on the video were mid-tier casual stuff

Sam here 👋🏿 We didn’t include the usual Naruto, Dragon Ball, etc., because the list would have been really long, and we wanted to highlight other shows. That being said, I don’t think the anime that won should have won. It's an amazing anime, but it's probably the best beginner anime of all time. For true anime fans, there’s so much more out there. But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏿♂

@lucyprda The story is better even in its worst arcs Characters are better for the side ,main cast, and MC The power system is one of the GREATEST IN FICTION(not "The" but one of them Villains have cooler backstories, but I'd say the league of villains and phantom troupe have pretty equivalent backstories, so it isn't a complete wash Also, you can argue that HxH has very few good female lead characters compared to MHA But this isnt me calling MHA ass by any means,it's probably my 9th fav anime

There is no way that mha is better than Hunter x hunter, only thing you could maybe say is better is the animation. I genuinely believe Hunter x Hunter is better than mha on all levels, Hunter x Hunter is the greatest shounen of all time.

@@かまたた-g1v yeah it’s the only shounen I have ever enjoyed, I prefer seinen if it take an action anime/manga. Berserk Vagabond and Vinland saga are so good. But Hunter x Hunter is the only shounen I love

@@ANIME3 thats subjective there are things i like about mha but i wouldnt say are better than hunter hunter, if you ask me alot of critism i have with mha is the lack of in depth villain variety outside of ofa and shigaraki, peak mha for me was the overhaul arc after that the manga really started to get repetative and stagnate in terms of world building and character developmeant , not to say having one main villain for a story is a bad thing in and of itself becuase demon slayer had muzan and while that had its flaws the story was not overlly drawn out as in the case with mha , and streching a story to long can just further exposes the flaws and makes them more apparent, similar to narutos final war arc but imagine that over an entire series , the qualitys i enjoyed from mha started to fade and be outshadowed by the negatives in which i would rate the story overall 7/10 in my opinion being decent but not great , villians that should have or could have been expanded on more were all in towards the beging of the story such as stain and overhaul being the most enjoyable parts to me but if anything hunter hunter outclassed mha in all those catagories , worldbuilding wise i could see hunter hunter being in a class like one piece if the mangaka was healthy and able to consistently work since the story started ,

I feel that the Himeno bedroom scene is great because of its uncomfortable execution. The fact that this sexual encounter lacks emotional connection and context is exactly the reason why Denji doesn’t go through with it. It IS gratuitous and unearned, but Denji chose to not take advantage of it. Pretty big character moment. I also don’t think it really detracts from the narrative since Denji’s main dilemma is that he has no goals. Denji’s life was one where survival was the ceiling, not the bare minimum. Now that he has the essentials of life (food, water, shelter), he doesn’t know what to do with himself, and falsely believes that he can attain longstanding happiness through sexual encounters (something that time and again he realizes isn’t the case). The morning after the two have breakfast and officially become “friends” (another thing Denji has never had before). Another note is the very obvious and uncomfortable age gap between the two, which in itself is another theme that the story expands upon later, adds to the scene’s tension. Cool review tho! I’d like to hear more of your opinions.

Love this comment man! Love your perspective! I just think while Denji’s decision not to go through with the encounter is a significant character moment, I think this could have been conveyed in a less exploitative way. The age gap and the uncomfortable nature of the scene does add tension, but I feel this tension could have been explored more respectfully and effectively without resorting to such a controversial setup Plus if I'm not mistaken, didn't Denji go through this with Power, when he t0uched her b00b5, then when he told Makima about the encounter, she says something like you need to share a meaningful encounter with someone to probably actually enjoy it, then he said yeah Then this? I love your comment though, it made me think, it'll be good to see you around for sure!

Dark Aria is a beautiful example of good music in solo levelling ik this is ep 1 but had to give it a shout out when i read the manhwa i never pictured that scene with music so it was a pleasant surprise

Yeah bro I agree with you, the outro to Solo Leveling is amazing and they time the song perfectly. The person who responsible for composing most of the songs for Attack on Titan is also the same guy who is working on the Solo levelling OST, which explains the high quality.
