I’m experiencing the opposite of this issue. Seems that the damper on mine sits too high in the socket and will not allow the cam/rod-strut on the bottom of the lid to land on top of the white cap on the plunger located on the top of the damper. I’ve tried like hell to press it down further without damaging the hydraulic seal in the body of the damper but so far, no luck…

Question so how would you fix that other metal piece that’s going through the hole? It’s out of mines

I just placed a piece of duct tape over the opening, works great.

Just stuff it with paper so it can fall through

somehow, that little piece came out when I pulled the basket out to empty it - fortunately I was able to recognize from this video, where it belongs and was able to pop it back into place - thank you very much! 😀

It looks like you lost the little black rubber gasket

I forced in a small piece of rubber in, exactly the same size as the opening, then put tape underneath to hold it in place, it now works
