AAA batteries here are Penn Deka, usually, and are excellent quality. I got 5 years from each in my vehicles when I replaced them as routine maintenance. I got another AAA Penn Deka 78 for my truck but they didn't have a Penn Deka for my car, so I got a Walmart Everstart Platinum 24f. Rated 710 CCA and it tested at 1074 CCA when I brought it home. The Everstart is a Johnson Control, which they just changed names. They make most of the batteries in the United States and the Platinum is basically the same at a Duralast platinum. AAA is sold at Napa now and has a 3 year warranty. Everstart Platinum has a 4 year warranty. Choose whichever makes sense, like I did.

EverStart Maxx has 3 year free replacement so what’s the problem? And saying “we replace more of these batteries than any other type” means absolutely nothing if people in your area bought more of those batteries than any other brand…
@tr-lj2vx20 күн бұрын
ROFL, AAA batteries are terrible. Also, the Walmart AGM platinum, which is like $80 cheaper, it has a four year warranty. So even if you only get 2 years out of it, they will replace it. Regardless of what you do, stay far away from AAA batteries, and stay even further away from AAA repair shops !!!

Fake. Buy cheap car batteries. 120 bucks, then buy a new one in 3 years. I made my mistake. I bought a $300 red cell. It died in 8 months. It won't read bad cell, so they won't replace it. It dies after 3 days of sitting in the driveway during a long weekend of relaxing. Just think. You can buy 3 Walmart batteries for the price of one expensive battery. Trust me, I'm a high-quality guy. And I'm moving to cheap batteries. If it lasts 1 year. I'm still even with the expensive brands. But I'm sure it will last 2-5 years. So I'm up!!

The expensive batter is better.... Goes to show two different battery group. Needs a more apple to apple comparison. I've had brand new interstate batter crap on me.

May vary by location as the source of the battery manufacturer may possibly vary. Many locations the batteries by WM, Interstate and others come off the same assembly line and are exactly the same. If the WM serial numbers that starts with JC are made by the former Johnson controls, now Clarios. The batteries with the same rating are no different except the color or decals. Any claim of a difference is simply incorrect as far as the quality and average life. The warranty may vary.

That statement of get what you pay for, is way off base in 2024 with this bs economy, everything is more expensive but not any better, you think that AAA sticker means anything? Just about any battery now is from China and they manufacturer for every company . Walmart was 150$ cheaper and the specs were the same as anyone else's battery with the same warranty. And you want to push interstate, had 2 brand new interstates die in a year, anything can be a lemon, but to think that quality is based only on cost is everyone's favorite tactic to fleece people, same Chinese factories same raw material source same Chinese quality of build, so why would I pay almost double for the same imported item?

If I’m not mistaken, interstate and ever start are made by the same company

Well freakin said! So sick of the climate of life these days cuz it’s coming from all potential and possible angles. Whether it b from a car battery to a combo meal in a fast food line; all less quality, less quantity, less service, but of course MORE expenses 🤬how i loathe today’s society SMH

My F150 came with AGM, but I like lead acid because they can be revived with the correct charger or welder. AGM cannot. If I don’t use start/stop, or have many power options, I’m hoping a conventional lead acid won’t disrupt any of the electronics. I don’t belong it’s an issue, as the generally run off the alternator anyway.

@aleksandrnestrato4 ай бұрын
Positive. The dude messed up. Mercedes is known for quite substantial positive castor in their cars. That’s why they are perceived as very stable at high speeds.
