Why would anyone run an abrasive took in a machining center?
@ThatGuy-0220Ай бұрын
Depending on the job or the quality of work required, it can be cheaper to deburr within the machine or have somebody do it as their job every single day. Does it take more hands to have the same quality and quantity or less hands. I don’t think you’re hurting much if you’re already cutting exotic materials like fiberglass and ceramic. I don’t know if you’re hurting anything else.

Because machine centres are all about reducing labour. So any operation performed off the machine that you can do on the machine will generally be cost effective as well as ensuring standardised quality. It is a common problem with threading that the first thread can ‘tear’ producing burrs. Especially common when thread milling. It can be hard to remove this with standard cutting tools. An abrasive is a good option.
