this phrase mode or "Pattern Bank" mode acts a little funky sometimes with choped loops during recording and it is quite complicated to setup. i don't know whether i use it very often because of this.

installed both an mSata SSD and a compact flash to micro SD adapter. The performance has roughly improved by 7%. Is there anything I could be doing wrong? Quite unsatisfying results I must say :(

The improvement in performance does not improve by leaps and bounds, although there are some errors by the quality of SSD or SD card. It is the video of the method of using SSD and a micro SD card as substitution of HDD or CF card to the last. Thank you.

@@60017120 Thanks for the quick answer! I installed the 128GB TS128GMSA230S by Transcend. And a San Disk 32GB Class 10 Micro SD with a compact flash to micro SD adapter. Any issues with those? I also realised samples cause most of the loading and saving duration.

On another note: the previous owner of my MPC had installed an SD card with 64GB instead of the internal HDD. Maybe that's why the speed performance hasn't improved that much from SD to SSD?

Do you have the 1.07 OS file hosted anywhere? I just picked up an MPC1000 and I already installed the free mpc1000_jv316, but I wanted to go back and compare. Mine came with the same v1.07 from this video. It was never updated! This is an unrelated question. Have you thought about releasing the free version of JJOS as open source? Or maybe the original akai OS source code? You are supporting the entire community, and it would be such a shame if all of your work went away, and no one could continue it.

I got it installed the sd HDD works but my 128gb card shows as 2gb? Is there a way to access full memory? Also I want to install JJOS free , I have 1.05 as my current OS, and when I try to press load nothing happens. Would it be able to load JJOS without the cf card reader?

Please try other sd cards. sd card recommends you 128GB or less. It may be a problem of an adapter when the same problem produces other SD cards.

I regard every maker's CF card as the ability to use satisfactorily. I am using CF card of "SanDisk" and "Transcend". OS of akai can also use 2GB or more of CF card.

Since MPC has memorized the value of contrast, adjustment is only once. However, if you change the OS, you will need to adjust it again. Moreover, when a power supply is switched on holding the ERASE button, since a value returns to a default, to adjust again is required. Thank you.

hello jj, I am a user and buyer of jjos 2xl, would it be possible to have in the next pattern the possibility of not having to hear the end of the pattern to play the fill-in, but to have it instantly and that, as has its initial function, once the fill-in is played it returns to the previous pattern. The way old drum machines sound like they have a real instant fill-in. possible ?? THANKS

OS2XL does not have this feature. Only OS3 and OS128XL have this feature. Therefore, when you want to use this feature, please use OS3.

Because if it is, i will just stay with the os2xl. Is the os3 a free version? i understood it that way. Maybe it would be good to make that a little clearer on your website, as i think many people have problems understanding which version is for which purpose. Thanks JJ!
