I don't want these simple to use melodies I want a car crash of sound that screams sample this and keep working till you got something

hey! now i am the 100th subscriber. and with this tune i wonder: why is time so important to us? what would we do if we could control time as we wish? would our memories be forgotten or remembered forever? is time that important or we need it?
@starzsparkz9 күн бұрын
I'd hate to control time, for the things I could ruin, it's too troublesome, I guess I'll need to make a 100 sub special

Also have you heard about something called the "harmonic chord structure principle", It says that chords with notes arranged so that they're more spread out in the bass ranges and denser in the higher ranges sound better than the opposite which sounds pretty muggy and brash with the opposite effect when you structure the notes in your chords the opposite way generally because the spread voicing will follow the harmonic sequence more accurately than dense clumps of notes in the bass range, if you're doing a simple voicing like A Cmaj7th for example, you should just do a root 5th then root going up for all of these with the first root in the bass range and then add the major third ontop of the top root, then add the 6th (a little extra pentatonic touch), then 7th as per the chord says, then the 2nd (also a touch of pentationic in there), and finally a tritone borrowing from the Lydian mode of the major scale so in all it would be C-G-C-E-A-B-D-F#. This is obviously a more adventurous voicing, a simpler one would be the C-G-C but with an E-G-B-E stacked ontop which are just all chord tones, those were an example voicing and are what spread-voicings are. This chord at 0:28 just looks really bad and sounds bad expectedly clashing the muggy bass chord with the high pitch major key notes just to put it bluntly sounds absolutely ass, but hold up! You're still learning I can tell so just expirement with that and other voicings like a thing called: "Root-Shell-Pretty" voicings, or "Split Fist" voicings, "So What" voicings, and much more, the previous 3 you can check out on the jazz youtube channel called: "Open Studio Jazz", have fun! I hope you can be a great youtube indie composer some day.

I haven't heard of the harmonic chord structure principle, I don't know a heck of a ton of music theory, I'm taking a class soon to learn some, but this piece was kind of just me messing around, it is not my favorite piece, but I felt like posting it anyways.
@LilBurntCrust9910 күн бұрын
You should re visit your decisions with some of those chords in the first and other parts tbh 😳

This track kind of sounds like something from the sound track of the VR game I played called "The Under Presents", it has a similar kind-of vibe to it and the themes are similar in the title alone and the game. Really cool.
@LilBurntCrust9910 күн бұрын
You should by the way listen to it's sound track it has the same kind of vibe you're going for in some tracks in its OST like for example one called: "The Under Melody" or something lol
