@@ThatOneCanadian-xg6uk I guess they're referring to the main game, not the Waffentrager modes. The modes were good, especially the one where the vocal theme was first introduced. Wish the main game was at least half that decent and atmospheric.

What I honestly just want to see is more immersion in the game. I would describe myself as a bit of a roleplayer. I really get knee deep into the roleplay and the immersion of playing a vehicle. I’ve even placed Czech flags and Czech text on Soviet vehicles and imagine I’m roleplaying a Czech crew in exile during WWII, considering there were plenty of Czechs, Slovaks, and Poles in exile fighting alongside the Red Army. Or placing “Blood for Blood” and “For Stalin” on my tanks even though I am by no means a tankie or a Stalinist. Imagine my dismay when I’m in my WWII Era IS-2 fighting against German Tigers and I see a BTR-80: an armored personnel carrier from the 80s that is still in service today alongside me. Or a BTR-ZD which is again an SPAA from the 70s still in use today. It just ruins the immersion for me. I just want accurate vehicles fighting against accurate vehicles. None of this WWII era tanks fighting alongside modern vehicles BS. And don’t get me started on the BR for top tier battles. Seeing Mig-21s going up against modern F-16s honestly makes me sad seeing that a jet all the way from the 60s with only the most basic 1st generation IR rear aspect missiles and no flares going up against modern fighter jets with modern BVR radar guided all aspect Fox 3s.

Or you can learn how to play and get a more objective perspective. Cause this is just, "I want the game to be easy for me." Like all of reddits complaints, no substance or legitimate reasons put forth.

Where did I say easy? I want the game to be way less grindy and have more variety. Having 1k hours and still not getting to rank VI, even with premium is proof that the game is way too grindy. I play to have fun though and not to grind the entire game.

After almost 5k hours in War Thunder I would say the game has drastically changed for better since the Review bombing has happened. Gaijin tried to silence them by removing the funny ones with no other intentions other then Review bomb. We all know how well it goes when you "Try" and say to not do something when you are the target. I can still compare War Thunder with WoT and say the Grind is much better and way less stressful. I so far have a bunch of Tanks,Planes,Helicopters and a hand full of Ships. Personally the only issue I still see from gaijin is adding/nerfing specific Premium tanks that don't belong to they respective BR. Many WW2 tanks you love and play face Ridiculous Cold War Tanks.

I don't usually play against early cold war tanks. I often play air rb at and br or with 10.0 soviet premiums.

@ThatOneCanadian-xg6uk I have the entire USSR and UK Trees Working my way slowly to the Rest too. But I've been playing since 2015 as well as played a lot of Sim Battles. The only way to play where some military Technologies are superior to others Sadly some are way too unrealistic to face and are out right unfair. An Example would be the T-54 vs VIDAR A 1999 SPG vs a 1950s Early MBT It's fun fighting in a 4 decades old tank.

The CAS complaint is one I’ve never gotten behind. For one it give AA players something to do and it also is solved by players who fly air superiority. Most of the time I’m in a plane I’m just hunting other planes.

For me, the main problem is that I can barely tell where an enemy plane is, especially if it's flying overhead. The camera just doesn't work well for that, and the fact that there aren't player tags makes it really annoying to keep track of planes. Just making enemy planes visible on the minimap like in air realistic would help a whole lot, IMHO.

War thunder is built from the ground up to work around making money off a free to play game. If a western company made the exact same game as war thunder in concept, but removed all the scummy microtransactions and characteristics designed to encourage buying premium- in exchange for charging 20 bucks to play the game, war thunder players would bury Gaijin’s game so fucking deep into the ground.
