Why i always have food, water, a folding chair in my trunk, and try to keep my tank at least half full. Chair to sit off side of road where it's cooler in hot weather. Now that I'm older i need to add a luggable loo with one of those pop up loo tents.... Got stuck once on 81 just at beginning of a bridge behind semi-truck accident blocking both lanes. Semi's behind me couldnt move so I wasn't moving either. It was about 5 hrs. I finally walked back to semi behind me, shared some cookies, and asked him to blast his horn to wake me up when traffic finally started moving. I got a decent nap in and he gave a very polite toot to get me moving.

No, just more control when they are transported. The CHP should permit those loads. so if they have an accident, they can manage it better than they did this one, because they fucked this up. They could have turned everyone back. I have seen them do it. I have lived and worked on the highway in the desert, and the CHP usually truns them back with a detour, or go back home.
