Lakes greening in Midwest lol they aren’t granite lakes with reflection of quartz and the sun. Midwest scientists are low key aren’t taking credit for Lake Michigan or the water quality across the Midwest. Michigan, Minnesota have some of cleanest lakes in the world. Pure Michigan. No egos, just science. Fear, fear m, fear, clean water act we’ve seen cleaner water and cleaner air. Not because of keep Tahoe blue

Years ago there was a river back east that caught on fire due to factories spewing pollution into it. Follow the money; money addicted politicians and so called developers that are more interested in fattening their personal portfolios than protecting the environment. Look at DC. More interested in using their political position to game the system, using essentially insider trading tips and or making decisions benefitting companies they have invested in, all while; murders, suicides, trafficking, drug-fentanyl overdoses, unvetted open borders, bank failures, homelessness,..., are ongoing. I'm guessing clear lake in northern CA. was once cleaner than the algae, invasive water plant greenish brown it is today. Is there any backlash for the companies that sold all the products that polluted the beaches after the latest 4th of July celebration?!

I’m overjoyed with this service. Only 12 minutes for our pickup. But sadly 67 minutes for our return ride.

I remember seeing a National Geographic Magazine spotlight on Tahoe’s awesome sewage treatment process. This was many many years ago. A gentleman dressed in a lab coat like a scientist is holding up a beaker filled with treated water…and claimed it was pretty much drinkable.

I’ve been to Lake Tahoe many times, and hiked & walked in areas close to the lake. It’s always shocking to see how much dog poop is left on or near sidewalks, walkways and trails. In Europe they have a gr8 method of tracking the irresponsible offenders, the dog owners. The Municipalities collect DNA from every dog, So when a pile of dog doo is found, the authorities can easily find out which dog it belongs to and who the owners are & they are fined heavily. This is what we need in the US. It’s disgusting and ridiculous that some dog owners refuse to pick up their dog crap & get away with it. And this disease causing waste finds its way to Lake Tahoe in run-off.

My family had a cabin on South Shore while I was growing up in the ‘60’s, and my father fished the lake 2-3 times a week. Two things I remember: 1) being able to watch the fish “follow the lure” from about 50’ out - the water was so clear, you would sometimes yank on the fishing pole in advance of a strike 2) motoring through Emerald Bay and being able to see small rocks on the lake floor maybe 100’ deep I’ll never forget that...60 years ago

I know the dam on the Truckee river in Tahoe City is there for flood control for Reno, but if that dam was removed the lake would flush itself naturally. The water would be clear and alot of rich peoples boat docks would be high and dry a good part of the year.

I can see this in the near future that Lake Tahoe its Water Resource can be used to pump water two major cities in the state of California and some of that water can be used 4 Farmers along the Central Valley in the state of California I believe that will happen in the near future and I hope it does because Californians need water and it looks like Lake Tahoe has never been tapped.!!!!!
