It’s time to bring back comedic gospel/country quartets in flashy matching suits.

Dewitt's voice mixed with the dobro (voice itself sounded like a dobro) to give it that distinctive sound.

I'm certain our Arch Angel Michael is listening for his name to be called to continue putting an end to the evil deeds of the devil. Also listening for their name to be called are his son Jesus & the unequaled power of His Holy Spirit. To vanquish the ever growing enemies of Love, Truth, Righteousness & Salvation. 👆🙏 ❤✝

Thanks, Mitch. I'd like the company that owns all the unreleased Columbia songs to release them all on vinyl. They could put a 1967 photo on it. They could have you write the liner notes.

The original 45. Great one by Don and Harold early on...
@stevesizemore62748 ай бұрын
Don Reid wrote this at age 20. Excellent from a young age. The Statlers should have been promoted more in 1964-67 with all the greatcearly gems they recorded !

I like how they showcase the band here. Usually the band is hidden. A lot of people don't even realize that there IS a band behind them. They think it's just 4 guys with Jimmy's (or Lew's) guitar.
