Ted ending is canon because in the book the other die and he is transformed in the slug thing
@fackingcant65283 ай бұрын
Pretty sure the book follows an alternate timeline. At some point in the game, Benny talks about the canned food in the ice caverns (the location from the book) as a past incident he (presumably) survived through.
@calebcalhoun9847Ай бұрын
The guy who wrote the story also wrote the game so each ending is as canon as you want it to be

I've got the best ending by looking at a guide and using the correct tools to defeat each personality, something tells me I wasn't intended to do that but you can do that anyways lmao... albeit probably I was, because the in memoriam pic does not appear if I do this, so that means you don't need to sacrifice characters, it's literally the best ending you can get with it and honestly, it's good developer foresight, plus giving Nimdok his redemption arc is nothing short of cathartic.
@lukatoledo686411 ай бұрын
Thank you for this! I originally just... Took glynis with me, I didn't bury her, and since I had only one save file that I kept saving through the whole run, I couldn't go back, so glynis never rested in peace.

I played this game ages ago, and I also had the same issue with Ellen's spiritual barometer no matter of guides or other resources, so I've always assumed her scenario simply had some last-second changes/content cuts and the barometer's coding was never adjusted to suit. As such issues were not unusual for the era, after all the German version of this game was literally made unwinnable because German authorities insisted on Nimdok's portion to be cut out for the game to be approved and the developers didn't adjust anything to make up for it so you just can't get the best ending in that version at all.

I played so much of this when I played through Elza, and even after hahah. I'd forgotten exactly how it worked until I watch this, and it is a little whacky, a step more complex than regular free cell, was cool watch you figure it out.

A correction: The person I'm talking about at 11:09 is not Richard Stallman, as I'm saying in the video, but Linus Torvalds (creator of the Linux kernel project). I apologize for the mix-up. Also, there might be some cultural differences, that makes his management style less controversial than I make it out to be here. There is a thing called "management by perkele", which is apparently prominent in Finnish work-culture. Basically, direct communication and swiftness of work is valued higher than people's feelings and therefore a harsh tone/language is more accepted. It is described quite well by this quote: www.goodreads.com/quotes/687824-the-swedes-have-coined-the-term-management-by-perkele-to

Great job on the expert mode! It is so difficult! How many tries it took you?
@nomynous44614 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think expert mode took me around 7-10 tries, but I don't remember exactly. Overall, the original footage for this video had about an hour of Solitaire, so obviously I've had to cut out a lot and chose to only show the successful tries.

I know, but thanks. :) I think I just have the philosophy that I want to try to figure out what to do myself before letting the game tell me. Of course, I'll have to balance it so I don't go for too long just saying "What am I supposed to do here!?!"

Will you consider lets playing the second part when it comes out? :D
@nomynous44614 жыл бұрын
I am really considering it. Right now I'm restricted to record on Linux as I don't have a capture card for consoles (and I don't do Windows). It looks like it's actually planned for Linux, so it shouldn't be a problem for me. So yeah, it's definitely on my to-play list for this channel. I am also considering doing the "Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin"-game at some point, but that would have to wait until I get a capture card of some sort.
@Jigokuga4 жыл бұрын
nomynous oh allright, the rhombus thingy is a oretty short game as much as im aware of :D how far into the game did you get when you played psychonauts for the first time? And whats wrong with windows? :D
@nomynous44614 жыл бұрын
I got as far as right after Lungfishopolis, I think. I don't know why I stopped, I just did. Windows is just not my cup of tea. Professionally and casually I use Linux and it serves all my needs. As a computer programmer I actually prefer it as a working environment. And then I have my consoles for most of the games that don't come out on Linux. :)
