Unfortunately, every time our community in Taylor County has reached out to Team Rubicon for assistance (Idalia and Debby) we never got an email response or telephone response back….. 😢

This video shows absolutely that barrier islands - which consist entirely of sand, just barely above the level of the ocean - should never have been developed so intensively. Used for recreation, of course, but with minimal construction. It's way too late by now to change that, but there are so very many sites just like this all along the Gulf Coast and Atlantic Coast of the USA that are vulnerable.

Excatly people don’t get excatly what barrier islands are they just want the fun and sun but they were never meant to be developed they way they are. It’s why so many areas outside the barrier islands got trashed cause there was nothing to help stop it due to all the build up.
