Love all of them but the one that always gets me is Mel Gibson taking that flag in the Patriot and running away with it. That gives me massive goosebumps. But the Ride of the Rohirrim too, I loved it ever since I was young. The charge in the last Samurai is brilliant too. The ending is always hard for me, when they mow them down with those machine guns. It just feels so brutal. And thanks for giving some credit to Alexander! Talk about your underrated movies.

Major Robert Gould Shaw's charge with the Massachusetts 58th Colored Regiment in the movie Glory should absolutely be on this list. Because it was REAL. Shaw and the 58th Regiment charged UP a hill into the jaws of death. The movie honored their bravery and sacrifice, and did so beautifully.

That Gettysburg charge was absolute dogshit, never have i seen a less believable civil war clip, fuck man, glory wipes the floor with Gettysburg just for showing actual blood and gore, guess this movie didn't have the budget to show soldiers getting shot..you know? like they do in an actual fucking war 🤦🏻 its like in westerns when the outlaw gets shot and just flails around finally throwing himself off a balcony without showing an actual wound or blood, except this was made the year i was born so it doesn't have that excuse 🤮

Gettysburg is number 1. Chamberlain was awarded the Medal of Honor for holding the flank of the Union army and his charge which halted the Confederate advance. An epic scene in a fantastic film.

Missed the greatest cavalry charge in history. The Polish Winged Hussars in the Siege of Vienna (Movie:The Siege of Vienna: September 11, 1683). Also, the charge of the Australian Light Horse in the battle of Beersheba (Movie: The Lighthorsemen). Or the Zulu charge at the Battle of Rorke's Drift (Movie: Zulu).
