I recommend using a 10mm driver to remove the fasteners that hold the assembly to the body, rather than using the Philips head screwdriver. One of my fasteners was on so tight I stripped the Philips head trying to remove it. Only finally got it off using the 10mm driver. Also, my 2017 500e had T20 screws for the lamp module.

Gloves on, respirator and eye pro, yep. Could tape the whole face of that ruler, then just score and break it. That chip is where you stopped your cut to move your hand on the straight edge. Good job though for someone who doesn't cut glass on a regular basis. If you do, then you want a straight edge that won't move. They have a rubber or cork backer on them that is tacky Silica carbide fabric backed sandpaper (wet sanding) works great for shaping glass. You can also use a cheap sharpening stone or polishing pad on a sander, depends on how much you want to bevel the edge. Adding lubricant will help smooth it further. Wet sanding to round the edge, you need a profile sander or to make a block that will shape it how you want it. Good enough is good enough for DIY, exposed edges you need to cut it clean. If you have a cheap mirror that just has a peel and stick backer, cut that line with a razor blade before you score and break it. Good work! Cheers.

Since the video is 3 years old... you probably won't see this, but... I just bought one, and the jack screw (the one the pipe goes on to wedge against the ceiling) is seized... I custom built a socket to fit over it and welded a nut to it so I could use my impact on it - no luck - torched it - no luck... Got any advice for that scenario?

My question is, the ratchet doesn’t make click like the one that we see now a day. So how to know if the appropriate tension was set?

As the video states the shaver will not turn on right away even though there is charge in the new battery. After plugging the shaver in and charging it, my panasonic shaver is working again. @@vendter Thanks for the reply. I DID search, but found only way-too-expensive offerings, some as much as the entire pump w accessories. I've got a support ticket open w Grundfos, which may be useful in locating a replacement cartridge. Watts, btw, told me they don't even offer a cartridge for their version of this pump, even though those expensive 506176 cartridges I found seem likely to fit any UP 15-10 pump. Some eBay seller is asking $248! Whereas there is a new UP 15-10 pump listed for only $115. Comparison shopping pays, but these cartridges seem disproportionately expensive compared to the original pump (which includes a thermostatic valve, timer, & hoses).
@chrishard76168 ай бұрын
Just buy a replacement whole pump and take bits from it if you don’t want to replace the old pump. The costs of the spares being more than a new pump is ridiculous and due to people trying to profit from it.

I have mid 1980s Gerstner O52 ( quarter sawn white oak ) and it has Chrome plated steel hardware. The Brass hardware looks much better. The green felt in mine is a brighter shade of green and the drawer bottoms are zinc coated sheet metal The edges on the top and all four corners on the sides have a radius routed on them. The sides on my tool chest are 1/2" thick,not 3/8". In 1963 when I started my machinist apprenticeship a new O52 chest was about $150.00. Gerstner had a layaway plan that you could pay into as you had the money and when it was paid for they would ship it to you. Very nice build, Bravo !!!

I found this hugely helpful, VIncent, so thank you. I ran into one problem: The rear housing of my UP15-18SF does not have a key to orient it re direction of water flow, making it possible to replace that housing with the arrow pointing in the wrong direction. Unless one has marked that before removing the housing, I could find no way to tell on replacement how to orient it . (As my wife will tell you, the fact that I couldn't find it does not mean it's not therre.) I luckily had another unit, so I used that as a reference. For others: With the Grundfos label facing you, the water-flow arrow points to the right.

I have the same compressor and facing the same dilemma, except mine is leaking from the pressure relief valve and it broke the manifold whenever I tried to screw it back in. The reason the internet has so many of these manifolds for sale (except for this model) is because these manifolds are made of cheap chinese zinc/pot metal. Not sure which route I'm going yet, but I have a nice aluminum pipe that I may try to use if I can tap it for the threads of the fittings. If not, I will try doing it the way that you did. I will have to write it off to a learning experience I guess, even though I really didn't want to learn how to fix one of these, haha. Thanks for putting up this video though.
