I just bought and installed a Drybot for $1200 and your set up looks great to me. The Drybot gets it down to about 10% but 16% should be just fine. Nice job!! One question: How do you decide when it's time to dry the desiccant? Do you see the humidity go up?

How do i stop a leak from the faucet? It keeps leaking when it's off... PLEASE HELP!!
@jim392212 күн бұрын
@annettehargrove4095 , Do you know the manufacturer of the faucet? This is very similar to the process of replacing a leaky valve stem in a Moen, Delta, or other single handle faucet. The tricky part is there is no identification on this faucet or valve stem in order to buy the replacement part. You might be better off calling a plumber than doing it yourself. Here is what I’ve done: There’s a replaceable plastic cartridge (valve stem) that is under the lever. To access it, remove that top decorative cover shown in this video. No need to remove the retainer holding the glass in. There is a larger nut down below the decorative handle. If you clean out that area with a rag, you can see it. You can carefully use large channel locks or the correct size socket to remove that nut. With the nut off, you can carefully pull out the decorative handle and attached valve stem. You will need a replacement valve stem. I am at that point right now. But I don’t know how to find the replacement part.

@ I watched some more videos. I found two main manufacturers of bathroom waterfall faucets like this. Kraus and Vigo. Vigo says all of theirs have their name on the tower somewhere. Kraus was able to identify theirs by the type of parts on the inside. Both got back to me via e-mail or phone the same day I submitted a question on their website. Both have replacement parts for their authentic faucets. Personally, it looks like I have a no-name knock off as both were able to tell me it was not one of theirs. Since I can’t find replacement parts, I’m off to Home Depot today to get a replacement faucet.

I recommend using a 10mm driver to remove the fasteners that hold the assembly to the body, rather than using the Philips head screwdriver. One of my fasteners was on so tight I stripped the Philips head trying to remove it. Only finally got it off using the 10mm driver. Also, my 2017 500e had T20 screws for the lamp module.

Gloves on, respirator and eye pro, yep. Could tape the whole face of that ruler, then just score and break it. That chip is where you stopped your cut to move your hand on the straight edge. Good job though for someone who doesn't cut glass on a regular basis. If you do, then you want a straight edge that won't move. They have a rubber or cork backer on them that is tacky Silica carbide fabric backed sandpaper (wet sanding) works great for shaping glass. You can also use a cheap sharpening stone or polishing pad on a sander, depends on how much you want to bevel the edge. Adding lubricant will help smooth it further. Wet sanding to round the edge, you need a profile sander or to make a block that will shape it how you want it. Good enough is good enough for DIY, exposed edges you need to cut it clean. If you have a cheap mirror that just has a peel and stick backer, cut that line with a razor blade before you score and break it. Good work! Cheers.

My question is, the ratchet doesn’t make click like the one that we see now a day. So how to know if the appropriate tension was set?

@@vendter Thanks for the reply. I DID search, but found only way-too-expensive offerings, some as much as the entire pump w accessories. I've got a support ticket open w Grundfos, which may be useful in locating a replacement cartridge. Watts, btw, told me they don't even offer a cartridge for their version of this pump, even though those expensive 506176 cartridges I found seem likely to fit any UP 15-10 pump. Some eBay seller is asking $248! Whereas there is a new UP 15-10 pump listed for only $115. Comparison shopping pays, but these cartridges seem disproportionately expensive compared to the original pump (which includes a thermostatic valve, timer, & hoses).
@chrishard761611 ай бұрын
Just buy a replacement whole pump and take bits from it if you don’t want to replace the old pump. The costs of the spares being more than a new pump is ridiculous and due to people trying to profit from it.
