Andi, I’ve been following you off and on for many many years now. Over the course of those years, so many times you seemed to be right where I was at the time, your worries, fears, writing advice. I just want to say, thank you for all that and thank you for this series. I really need some tools for keeping up without stressing out. Again, right on target and good timing!

The way to get over fears is to think them through. Analyze the exact fearful situation and make a plan to handle it if it begins to happen. Usually you will discover that your fear is not very likely to come true. Or, you will think of a way to safely avoid it. For example, "what if somebody accuses me of being a fraud" well they do that to multi-millionaire actors and business owners all the time. It didn't stop those owners from becoming hugely successful, because the accusations only come from a small minority of people. The silent majority is on your side.

Such a good reminder. Searching for the “perfect” had been an issue of mine. But I’m learning it’s try and try again. If it doesn’t work, try something new.

My family in Jersey knows very little on our history in Virginia. My grandfather Samuel J Gault left Virginia in the early 1900's. All his brothers and sisters names were Bookers in Fluvanna County Virginia

Hi, I would like to know where this cemetery is located. You mention Mary Steele and you also mention a ghost by the name of Moses Steele... I know of a cemetery in Cross Keys Tennessee by the name of "The Moses Steele Cemetery." This cemetery thanks to my father and a large group from the community, now has an historical marker that denotes a partial history of the land belonging to the Steeles that was donated and made into this cemetery. My 5th great grandfather Laban Hartley and his wife Sarah are buried at the back of this cemetery under a huge pile of lime-stone. I am wondering if this is the same cemetery and if this Moses Steele you mention is the same Moses in my family history. Please contact me at [email protected] Thank you

Andi, this is SO helpful! Waiting to respond on feedback has been absolutely huge for me. I've almost written overly-emotional, oh my gosh I'm a horrible writer response emails to feedback before, but by the grace of God stopped myself and waited a day or two. Of course, I was then able to read the feedback much less emotionally, and actually found it helpful (or, if I didn't, it wasn't a huge deal to me anymore). Your explanation of the difference between critical and unkind is SO beneficial too. Thank you!!
