Highly skeptical that Bruce Lee claimed that tsai li fo fighters had beaten Thai boxers at Thailand though the craft is a mixed martial art.

Very cool, it's refreshing to see someone who has a respect for the arts as a whole, keep it up dude, I hope you get where you want to be with it!

It's said that chin na is the father of Japanese Jiujutsu, and I tend to believe that, but let's be honest, the human body can (or can't) bend in only so many ways, so that isn't necessarily the case. Though chin na can be and a lot of the time is taught as a separate style, it traditionally was included in whatever system you were learning in the Chinese arts. Virtually every technique I study in both Hung Gar and Bagua have chin na applications. What do you study anyway?

Well said spritsengiggle, I totally agree with you. I know a lot of MMA dudes who respect traditional stuff, and sometimes come from a traditional background. On the flip side, I know not-as-many MMA guys who come from schools who are all about kicking ass and don't take the time to learn the respect or discipline required for any art, be it Mixed or Traditional. It's hard to find really good traditional stuff on youtube though, so I thought I'd give my props (not that they count for much).

@SpadaccinoLuciano I guess the Americanized ones are like that. Try real Chinese movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Or Fearless. Or Hero. Or Red Cliff. There's plenty out there that aren't just about some vengeful guy beating people's faces in with fists.

@soaringaegis I didnt say he did, I said all "Kung Fu" movies (or Wushu, I guess?) stars are just copies of Bruce Lee to me, regardless of fighting style or weaponry. I don't even like Jet Li or Jackie Chan, although the latter at least adds humor. No, indeed, the only movie I've seen with a Jian is Disney's Mulan.

@SpadaccinoLuciano Obviously you haven't seen very many, if you've never seen this type of sword before. :/ Which begs the point. Bruce Lee doesn't even use swords.

Chi flows like a river. If the rivers ceases to flow...so does the chi. Therefore the seeming "whipping" motions. Chi cannot be seen and therefore we can only guess if a practitipner has any. I never meant to incline Mr. Chung has any, just that it "looks" as he does. But, just from his form, balance and other aspects from this video I wouldn't mess with him. :-) Again...thanks for the observational feedback of my comments. Keep on searching friends!
