Does the car need to be locked coz when i walk away the charging light stops im confused
@Senior.Mike.138Ай бұрын
as long as the pulse is on the wall unit you charging. when the car locks it just turns the lights off since it assumes you aren't watching anymore!

Thanks for this video! KZbin needs more like it. I understand the desire to have level 2 charging at home, but I chose to balance the cost of its installation (as you said, about $1500) with necessity. Like you, the vast amount of my driving (I4 M50) is in town. AT MOST, I lose 20% in a day. Level 1 charging from 60% to 80% takes about 17 hours. For example, the other day, I plugged the car in at 5:23 pm. It charged overnight, and reached 80% at 10:52 am. I have had my car for a year and have never lacked enough charge to get where I need to go. Even if there were an emergency, at 80%, I can drive at freeway speeds for about 4 hours before I would need to charge up. I say this only because I think Level 1 charging gets a bad wrap. Would I like to have Level 2 charging - sure, but for me, Level 1 is more than enough, and I have saved myself a good deal of money.

Hello..I own a BMW x1 hybrid vehicle. After charging the vehicle, I don't want it to remain on power after the charge is full. Maybe it won't do any harm, I don't know, but it's not something I want. If I put a socket with a timer and set the time, would it be harmful if it cuts off the electricity at a certain time? Normally, it says in the manual that when the charge is finished, first remove the charging cable from the vehicle and then cut off the electricity. I will cut off the electricity first by using a timer. Will this cause any damage? Or is it necessary? I would be very happy if you answer. Thank you.

sorry didn't see this earlier. I would be careful what sort of timer to place in circuit - lot software voltage

Mike the reason the GOM went from 323 to 260 something is because the system was planning for "battery preconditionning" about 30 minutes before you arrive at the charging station.

Really enojyed seeing a longer trip of the Edrive35! Mine is due to arrive in the next month or two! Being in the UK, most of my "longer" drives will only be 150-200 mile round trips, but much more economical than my 2015 diesel!

I test drove the e35 the other day, I was blown away. never driven a BMW before so was just loving the premium interior. I was warned by the salesman that "it's very slow compared the other i4 models" but when I put my foot down when doing 30 entering the motorway it felt insanely fast to me and I was at 70 before I knew it. Fingers crossed I will be ordering one this year.

Speed is relative.. do you really need to get to 100kmh 1 second faster? The edrivem M 50 will be alot faster but. More$$$ too
@JustMe99999 Жыл бұрын
All electric cars feel fast because of the instant torque.

Hi, want to know how the suspension feel without active damper?
@Senior.Mike.138 Жыл бұрын
Not sure if I know how to compare. I'm not that much of a car guy - give me some hints as to what I should feel. It is sure a heavy can and you can feel it "pushing" through corner. Wouldn't can it understeer though

Well explained Professor Mike. I think that EVs are still good only for daily around town use.
@Senior.Mike.138 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Dimitri. I did buy this car for around town mainly - but I planning first a 350 km trip soon and contemplating at 900km one later through towns that are a bit remote. I'll be blogging about them for sure. Love the car tho. great to save at the pumps. Gas is $1.40 a litre here - and that is cheap for Canada

@@Senior.Mike.138 I think every 2 car household should have one of each. An ev for the city and a icv for longer trips. Even considering the fuel cost however EVs are still on the expensive side especially since there are many entry level EVs in North America. Europe has many more choices.
