My mom would yell at us if we breathed with our stomach. She said it was unladylike. She would make u sit up tall and shoulders back and told us to breathe so that your boobs rose and fell with tight abs. Think old movies where the chest heaved because women were in corsets. I didn't stop doing that until high school.
