Japanese people say foreign words differently like 'hello' is more like 'harrow' to them. If there was a jap studio called hello inc., would you call it 'harrow inc' ? Of course not.

How is it that it got only 2 seasons! Is has incredible lore and an expansive world, Amazon doesn’t even need the protagonists to be portrayed by expensive A-list actors. Why would they stop making new seasons??

Do you guys know the scary backstory about this movie?for the people that don’t know… Caroline was a little girl and her mom had problems. Caroline was forced to where buttons in her eyes because her mother thought it would make her prettier, while not wanting to, later on she ran away, leaving her mother behind. While she is alone, the police came to Caroline’s mother and immediately sent her to the hospital for surgery, only because of her problems. DONT let peoples problems hurt you! Ty for spending your time reading this❤

Four years tardy to the discussion, lol.. Four years later, and a decade of script rewrites + changes in directors, another Labyrinth is still in the works. I hear lots of people talking about in order to make it work it would have to be a prequel, spin-off, or there would have to at least be no Jareth. I understand that 100%, and I don’t disagree completely, even though I think there’s a slim chance a good recast could work. However, I’m really interested in an animated Labyrinth series or movie (2d animated specifically). That’s almost certainly not what is being worked on currently, but I think it could be really fun. The one major downfall to this would be the charming puppetry and practical effects are kind of lost.. Though, the benefits of it is you wouldn’t have to worry as much about recasting old characters like Jareth and Sarah, you’d only have to worry about the voice acting. I know it’s unlikely, but I would really love to see a well-written and well-performed series or movie based on the old characters so we could explore them more. Maybe I’m stuck in the past, but I just watched Labyrinth a week ago for the first time, and I can’t help but be curious about all of the characters! I have an itch to learn more and see more of them. Suppose it’s an idealistic thought, but I think it has potential

It’s amazing how much culture there is behind Dia de los Muertos. First time I ever heard of the holiday was 18 years ago in Spanish class in my freshman year (my high school had a rule that you had to take 3 years of a foreign language in order to graduate), but I was only told the “mere basics” of the holiday, i.e. what the holiday was about and how the people celebrated. I didn’t know how far back it was celebrated, where it originated, and what the symbols such as the skulls, marigolds, etc. meant

I’m Japanese who lives In Japan this video is somewhat correct and somewhat incorrect with some incorrect information but if you ask Japanese around 35 and below we say jib-ley older will say jib-uli. It would be close to American short cuts or slang. Depending who you talk in Japan you will get different sounding names

Almost all of these were before my time, so I kind of watched a bunch all at once. I read Le Morte d'Arthur as a kid and loved it. With THAT, I felt that Excalibur was the movie that best portrayed the different moods, from fairy tale, to bleak ending. The music was incredible, and cinematography was outstanding, and the acting was really weighty, with everyone really getting their roles.

“In what is today the Takahashi River in Okayama perfecture.- Later in the film it is revealed that Haku is also a river spirit, and thus he also takes the form of a dragon”- “No-face possesses several characteristics that are unlike creature I can't find in Japanese folklore. HE SEEMS TO ABSORB AND MIMIC THE ENVIRONMENT He's in, for example, becoming GREEDY and GLUTTONOUS in the bathhouse, then more polite and well behaved in Zeniba's house.” «while in the form of a gluttonous monster, No-Face somewhat resembles creatures in Japanese and general Asian folklore called “HUNGRY GHOST” "Gaki" as they are called in Japanese folklore are thoughts to be spirits created by those who were greedy in LIFE.” They are usually depicted as emaciated creatures with bloated bellies and are thought to possess an eternal hunger in some depictions THEY CONSUME ANYTHING THEY CAN GET THEIR HANDS ON YET ARE NEVER ABLE TO SATIATE THEIR HUNGER” Again, No-FACE doesn't physically resemble a Gaki but they may have influenced his INSAITABLE HUNGER...

If you watch wuxia films, you will notice that none of them take place in the 20th century. This is because The Boxer Rebellion brought an emphatic end to the golden age of kung fu and even in their fantasies, Chinese culture puts a psychic barrier between the time before Western guns decimated martial arts culture and the time after Chinese people learned with incredible pain that no amount of cultivation can make you bullet-proof.

Great video brother. Really enjoyed the in-depth take on a classic. My fave line but its from part 2... Trautman: What do you want John?? Rambo: I want...what they want, and every other guy who came over here and spilled his guts and gave everything he had, wants! For our country to love us as much as we love it! That's what I want! 🫶🫡

My biggest letdown in this film was how the knights in the movie were in no way based on the ones for whom they were named. Dagonet was not a jester, Bors certainly knew a woman more than once, Bors, Galahad, and Percival had nothing remotely like a quest for the Holy Grail (though they did all survive the final battle. Maybe that counts), Tristan had no romance with any princess, and Lancelot and Gwenevere never hooked up after Arthur married her. And, of course, while none of these knights existed in stories of Arthur before the 12th century, the two whose names go the furthest back, Kay and Bedevere, do not appear in this film. I am just going to call it a missed opportunity.
