I enjoyed flying a lot more in bf1. Can't get the hang of it on 5 its awkward for me.

I think my biggest issue with planes in bfv is that they are so outmatched when not fully upgraded. Flying as a "bomber" with only two bombs is really hard, so it makes getting more/better bombs even harder

Tip: BFv has completely different air combat compared to bf4 and bf3. Bf4 is pure speed controlling and there is a sweet spot. BFv actually involves skill when playing. 2nd tip: if you want to dogfight then you should prioritize the upgrades focused on dogfighting but this won’t contribute you a lot to the battle. 3rd tip: if enemy AA camps in the corner of the map or sits on AA cannons then either stop playing planes or use cheats to fuck them over lol

they need air superiority mode. too hard to get planes sometimes.

So I was adamant and very active wt player for a long time and I always loved to use aircraft and became the quite the ace. Most of my skills I used there I use in battlefield and it works well somewhat. Due to some key differences (turning and speed seem all the same to me for the most part) I don't ever come close to as well as I play in warthunder. However the biggest pain in the ass is the damage difference! I chased a ju 88 for a solid 5 minutes and kid you not lit him up with over 300 cannon rounds and over 800 normal rounds and didn't do shit. Was shot down by an aa gun in 3 seconds. Another huge issue I have. I use aa guns and will light them up forever and not do shit but the moment someone else does I get screwed over in a matter of seconds. Biggest load of shit I've ever witnessed and dealt with!

Got a question, in a mp mach, u have to request somehow a plane or a tank or they just spawn random în the mai and where to find them? It s some kind of a flag?

One thing that still holds good is, hackers are everywhere in every server in BF V but they hate to ride on planes. That's one way to avoid cheaters

I use the keyboard for evasive maneuvers and general steering, I use the mouse for lining up shots with a nice and steady aim. You have to be fast though

Sorry for the 2 year late comment, but i feel like constantly moving the mouse down to turn hard in a dog fight and constantly have to pick the mouse up and put it at the top of my desk to keep turning is really tiring. And that might be a disadvantage since you can't constantly turn with it, since you have to pick up your mouse constantly. Edit: I just got to the part of the video where it shows pitch up.

Guys. I had bf 5 installed before and I managed to set zoom on plane and tanks while I am in third person to far out position so I can see more of a battlefield. After I reinstalled the game today, camera position in third person is very close to vehicle and it is driving me crazy because I cant find in settings where to change this. Any help please? Note - I am playing on PC

I don't know why they didn't do something like warthunder did with there flying where you don't have to keep on moving your mouse instead you just point you mouse courser to where you want to go and plane drives in that potion

How do you slow down on controller

The fly model in BFV is stupid so noobs can use them. DF doesnt exist in BFV. Most off the time if the other pilot gets behind you , and he is decent, you going to die. In BF2 you need skill to fly a plane and master it.

Before this, I had to drag my mouse down my desk several times to make 90 degree turn. Now, I have the sensitivity right and planes are actually viable for me. Thanks. Also I wonder why dice would make the default plane sensitivity so bad

Honestly is it just me or is BF5 not that bad of a game it’s just worse than Bf1 and Bf4

One more tip is to switch to a server with less ping so that your shots can land where they're supposed to.
