Newer scanners will scan real colors, which you will see them on the digital model. You can also choose to see it as a stone color. In this particular video, the scan was made with an "older" scanner that does not capture colors.

I like to remove the cord with the long tail (second cord for the 2 cord tech/ the only cord for the single cord tech). Basically you are filling up with impression material the space where the cord used to be. Soft tissues can change form and collapse very fast so the faster you inject the impression material after pulling the cord, the better. Make sure you have the site clean and dry before starting the procedure. Hope this helps!
