It depends on which receiver I use. With the ceramic antenna "elrs" receiver the max has been 400-500m. Of course it could go further, but I haven't tried. The signal is stable enough at 100-200m.

I've converted a 2.5 inches 2s to a2 inches. 10kv motors, old crazybee f4 pro 2.0, elrs, eachine nano vtx and ant lite. I cannot understand the hype over 2 inches toothpick.. Same drone on 2.5 is all the way funnier!
@TargetFPV4 күн бұрын
Everyone's experience is different. I don't know where it is hyped because I haven't seen many 1s 2 inch builds. I really like this combo because it flies completely different than a 2.5 inch. It is more responsive , allows for sharper maneuvering. For me its the 3inch 1s hype that comes across everywhere. Some people love it ,but I only got a sluggish and powerless build (it got heavy ,so I am to blame). But who needs what they want or like, so use it. 2.5 inch is perfectly fine ,my first "serious" quad was the "Leader120" for me. I loved it (still have it). I like to fly several quads because it's nice to try things out. ;)

@TargetFPV you may try a unibody frame and a 1s super light board. I did it with the diamond f4 from crazybee, you have a 200mw vtx and a spi elrs included, a light canopy and you're good to go! Just mind motors: happymodel 1202.5 are good, same as the flywoo (even more powerful). I suggest use a bt2.0 plug!

This is so cool! How did you learn to build such amazing drones? Do you have videos how to build these small drones?
@TargetFPV19 күн бұрын
Thank you! There is nothing special about it, you just need to know what is needed to make an fpv quad work. There are many videos of builds or motor, prop, frame combinations and you can get ideas from them. After a while you can try things out, I like to build as well to try new things. I like these tiny quads because you can charge more batteries at the same time, they are less noisy, so they don't bother anyone. Assembly is a bit more fiddly , because everything is tiny , the screws are the solder points and everything has to be compressed into a small frame. Of course, it doesn't always go well the first time, as it didn't for me on one of my builds. I have already rebuilt it at home :) that's the hobby!
@phearz0r19 күн бұрын
the building is the easy part. flying FPV is much harder than building them. If you dont have any electronics experience, you will need to learn that first. unless youre a big fan of electronics and tinkering with things, building them is not cost/time effective
@TargetFPV19 күн бұрын
@@phearz0r Well of course knowing electronics helps a lot, I was brought up in soldering tin fumes because my father is a TV repairman. I have always liked to tinker, but a toothpick/quad construction can catch me out (for a while). How big a spacer and screw do I need, where do I stuff the beeper, receiver and vtx (if separate) in the non-existent place. Tiny solder joints in impossible places or 3x disassembled quad on which something does not work. Then disassembling it causes a wire to come off... There are of course connector solutions and aio with everything on it, that can make it easy. But of course everyone has a different view ;)

The turtle mode works indoors and in short grass, and it's good to have it, but in taller grass it's almost impossible to get out with a whoop or micro. And on dusty ground, even if you manage to flip it over, it may not take off (sometimes it will). I also take a landing pad with me because these little things don't cut the grass around them :)

It only runs on 2s because that's all this AIO (x12) can do. Maybe with a smaller engine it could be good with 1103 for example . 2 blade prop only tried it indoors ,but it was louder , but it could last longer in the air. So it's pretty good now ,not perfect of course ,but I'll only know if I try it.

@@TargetFPV thats the exact setup I'm building. I have a jhemcu ruibet that can only do 2s and the highest kv budget motors I could find were 7500kv so hopefully it'll fly just fine on 2 s with 4 blade props.

I might try a 3-blade prop to see if it lasts longer. 2-3 minutes is about what it lasts now. I can't find any tests, so I'll have to experiment.

How much did ur drone cost? I might make one but I need a budget drone
@TargetFPVАй бұрын
@@astr0yt344 Unfortunately, you can't get out very cheaply. It is usually more expensive to build, but you choose the parts. BNF drones can sometimes be found cheaper, but rarely these days. BNF versions now don't even have 1s 2"-2.5" toothpick only 1.6" (40mm prop) that I have seen. They start from 150usd. The video description has the parts I used for this drone. You can work out roughly what it costs ,but where I live everything is much more expensive (I pay the highest taxes in the EU) and my salary is at least a third of what it is elsewhere ,so I can't give a realistic price value. As a base I would suggest a good aio like the HM X12 elrs which has both vtx and erls receiver. Camera could even be a caddx ant. BetaFPV canopy. the frame should be preferably light and well designed (a bit harder to find on the net). Motor and prop are more readily available.

Hello! First I would try using the default settings and activate it with a switch to see what it does. There are many factors involved ,what type of drone (hover throttle), do you have enough satellites (8 maybe) is the home arrow pointing the right direction etc. If the drone does this on failsafe then the hover throttle is not set correctly ,but I could be wrong. There are separate videos on gps rescue setup and a description on betaflight site worth looking through.

@@AaronMilke-ls8ko There are four types of video systems for image transmission. One analog and 3 digital (HDzero, Walksnail and dji) and they are not compatible with each other. So if you choose an analogue drone you need analogue glasses. There are also several protocols for radio (frsky,flysky etc. and now popular is ELRS). The drone should also have the receiver that matches the radio. So a drone with ELRS receiver works with ELRS radio. There are also multi-protocol radios that can do more than one, but they need a separate elrs module. There are KITs which contain everything and are a good start e.g.: betafpv cetus kit.
