First of all, I want to say that I apologize for my previous video that I made about breaking out of a back combo because it wasn't the proper or best way to get out of it. I'm sorry for all of those people that didn't found that video helpful. That's the reason that I decided to make this new video that shows the proper way of how to break out of a back combo.

Guys, I want to apologize to you all because this video didn't show the proper way to get out of the backshots/back combo. I made a new video that properly tells you how to break out of a back combo. I will make sure that next time I do a tutorial video I will absolutely make sure that I do it the correct way. This video was more about vanishing and how to recover mid air in order to get out of a back attack but no the real back combo that everyone is struggling with. Shout out to you for putting out any helpful content for people, but you didn't show one helpful thing in regards to the title of the video which is backshot combos. What you demonstrated is basic recovery from knockback attacks with R1, and Rush High-Speed Return (vanish) that you use to counter follow-up attacks. Neither of these are dependent on a combo starting from the back, and are generic for their purpose. This is even more apparent by the fact the character faces you once you transition from the back portion of the combo. The ONLY way to escape from the back rush attack portion of a combo, which is also by far the longest and most damaging portion of a full combo, is to Super Counter, which is a near or exactly frame specific counter done by clicking up on the left stick + Square simultaneously. Again, shout out for making content, but you didn't actually give the appropriate information.

the ONLY way to stop back attacks is by using super counter [ UP + square ( strict timing ) ] watched the whole vid. you didn't say anything about escaping the back combo. that was how to escape the smash attacks and starting from the back doesnt matter if the only thing you showed on the video was escaping front attacks / smash attacks. thought you'll show something different. It seems like you don't know how to stop the back combo.

I showed in the video that once someone starts to combo you from behind , you can vanish or recover in mid-air and then block. Up + square isn't the only way to stop back combos, I tried this in offline tutorial. I showed in the video how to both get out of a back combo and if the enemy uses perfect smash in order to get behind you.

@@Mozh644 Revenge Counter : Presseing R3 / L1 (twice) and it consumes Skill Points Super Counter : Pressing Up + Square and it's free but has a strict timing, you can't just mash it

@@twinkiedelx9143 i get what you mean but that is not the one that almost all people have problem with. the back attack combos they were having with problem with is the one where people getting spam square from behind. like the one from the end of your video on sparking mode. on which you couldn't vanish . what you showed was to stop back attack and not back combos ( square spam ) saw your latest post. glad you acknowledged that everyone was looking how to stop back combos and not back attacks. cheers.

In max mode when they hit you with back square combo you can get out of it by super counter your not completly cooked

By super counter, do you mean super perception? Also, I tried doing this, but no matter, I just couldn't get out of it unless I vanished.

@@twinkiedelx9143 no i think he is talking about when you flick the left stick up and hit square/X at the moment your about to get hit is called a super counter, the timing is very tight though from when i practiced it in the tutorial

I don't have SZ yet but if it's like Tenkaichi then you need 1 skill counter to go into Sparking mode. You don't see it deplete because you're in training mode.

By side step, do you mean a dash? If you are referring to a dash, you can just press x if you are far from an enemy and if you are close. If you are close to an enemy, this is when your dash becomes much slower. Your character will start moving around like doing backflips, or just as you call it side step when his close.

The backshot combo people talk about is when they turn you AROUND and start (rush+triangle combos) backshotting you.

That combo is very deadly. You can still use vanish though or how I said in the video to recover mid-air and then block.

Can you show how to get yourself out of the situation where you get back combo or in a combo by enemy? It is so frustrating, I don't know what to do... I tried to spam buttons, but most of time nothing happen, and I just get combo to death.

@잘못-l7m In the situation that you get back combo, it's "impossible," at least to my knowledge, that you can get yourself out of that combo. Now, if you are in a combo by an enemy when you are not getting back combo, the best thing that I can recommend is to block, vanish, use perception, or even use sonic sway.

I did some testing, and it isn't impossible to get out of a back combo. What you need to keep in mind is that you will need to use your vanish or block in order to get out of it. I will make a video on this to explain it better to everyone.

Using two skill gause points is absolutely a lot. It's way better to just block or just vanish. You will especially notice in pvp that you will really need to preserve your skill gauge points.

Does anyone know how to counter an enemy when they're attacking your back? Every time im hit from behind, i can't dodge, counter, or anything, but if i do it when they're facing me, it's easy to dodge. Is there a different way that training mode isn't teaching us?

It takes two skill points. If you are in the air, you can do the beam deflect, but if you are in the ground, you can do the nullify beam.
