Dude! Use a small breaker bar instead of that stubby little ratchet, you’re making this more difficult than necessary…

It’s an enduro bike, not a dual sport but does a great job though as a dual sport bike !

Nice ride. Is it good compared with a 450cc bike for a tight track like this one?

This just happened to my 2019 Promaster 3500. I tapped on the side with the screwdriver and it started working. Saved my life, leaving for Michigan Friday morning so heat is going to be critical! Thank you for this video !!🎉

Your video helped me understand why the roof skin of my van came loose from the trusses. The air pressure pushed the roof up. It makes a terrible rattling noise at higher speeds.

Dec 2024. Complete kudos to you! This is EXACTLY what occurred on my 2016 Promaster 1500 and your fix worked!!! A wire jiggle, a screwdriver tape and the actuator moved. Thank you Professor!👍

I hope this works for mine I have a 2016 promaster. I haven’t had heat since I bought it . I use a floor heater but it draws a lot of power from the alternator thru my converter . I will give this a try

Thank you for this video. I too have a Promaster 2500 2017 with less than 50K miles. Lost cabin heat this weekend. I checked all the forums. The former had elaborate explanation was good but video is priceless. I tapped the actuator as you suggested with my finger and substantial dust fell. And the actuator arm started moving. As mention, heat returned. If it happens again, I will definitely tap again and possible use a air compressor to blow any accumulated dust.

What sort of air compressor do you use to get the constant 60-80 psi.

Where is the actual hvac module? I have no power to mine, no heat or air. Want to replace the module myself then take it to get proxi alignment.

I've started using a friends 2500 Promaster for what looks like the duration of winter. The heater blows cold.. I followed your instructions , used my hand to bang on the actuator . It started moving and now I have heat. I'll not adjust the heat just in case I'm not lucky twice. Thanks very much :)

I just picked up a 2019 501, only because only 2k miles and never saw dirt,,,,At 61 Im loving shreading these things, already had a 2018 450EXC and I cant see parting with either one,,, Both are set up Sumo and uncorked, Ill keep my knobs on one of them, I have to say I lean towards the KTM450 prob mostly cause Im so use to it, 501 is really sweet only knock I really have is the vibration as stated,,,, list of mods is, lets just say EVERYTHING. Nice having a 450 w/ PDS and a 501 with linkage rear end. If your thinking about getting one just STOP and GO GET IT,

Thanks , I didn't think this was my problem. I could open my side door from the inside, but not from outside. I struggled to remove the assembly with the cables. It took me a while to figure out the top latch, needs to be removed from outside on rear top of sliding door. This video saved me, time, and money. Dealer was booked out 6 weeks, so I did the repair off your video. I ordered from Amazon, and the part was correct. I couldn't wait for dealer repair, because most of the time when at a customers house on the street, someone will park behind me, not allowing rear door entry.

Thank you! Your saved me a ton of work. Your video prompted me to put some pressure on the white arm while turning the temperature knob from cold to warm, and that did the trick. The arm was just "frozen." Now it freely moves up and down as I turn the temperature knob back and forth.

Let me add another voice to the "Oh my God, it worked!" chorus... Thank you so much. 2021 Ram Promaster 3500. It had been sitting for a few weeks in early fall while we were overseas. We came back to a cold snap and turned on the heat... nothing! A few taps on the actuator is all it took.

I have the front door wide open and we still have to slam it. From inside we have to shift everything around spin the seats climb over every night to attempt to close the slider to be able to lock the doors from the inside when camping. Without the front door wide open and someone slamming from the outside we can’t close it. I guess this wasn’t the adjustment I was looking for haha.

Use thread locker and mark all your bolts with a paint pen.... That way you don't have to worry as much about loose bolts and you don't have to keep torquing them over and over again.

It’s extremely difficult to attach the cables to the new latch. The top cable must be hooked first. Then it’s extremely hard to attach the yellow clip once the top cable is connected. It’s best to leave the old top cable in place and replace the other 2 cables
