My strat this is extremely important to know he has a hit counter. If you exceed it he will do an instant magic explosion. The number is 5 hits... So you can get 4 hits off then you need to back off and let time degrade this invisible counter meter. Also keep in mind his spells are learned by previous magic caster bosses you've already defeated. I basically just did main bosses through out my playthrough so if he has more or less spells that's why. 0:09 At the beginning if you haven't already encountered him you can go in for a free hit and a free backstab 0:17 After back stab I go in for a skilled attack 0:22 this is the laser attack that I wanted him to continuously bait through out this fight. Right when hes stepping forward I roll diagonally right. Afterwards I go in for my skilled attack (or if you're fast you can get off a backstab followed up by s skill attack)... Also Keep in mind you do need to bait the flying swords above his head to come after you by being within close range. Running right or left and they should miss. You will need to constantly throughout the fight remove that spell. 0:36 he will heal only once through this fight with his flask and I think this activates phase 2. Which is the same but I think he's more aggressive with his casting. 0:45 he shoots blue arrows at you that are easily avoided by running right or left and rolling 0:49 he will do whatever this is (stand still and make a prayer?) which if you're quick enough you can back stab and afterwards get a skilled hit but if you don't have enough time I just go in for a skilled hit. 0:59 he throws 3 yellow disks at you that will boomerang back to him. Try to keep in mind the best and safest way I know how to avoid it is to just roll back and away into a safe area. Keep in mind he can do this whenever in the fight so you need to think about how much room you have behind you till you hit a wall at all times in this fight. 1:32 If theres no other option (in this case I was way too close to roll to safety behind me) roll through his attack and pray he doesn't spam yellow disks or his flying swords above his head don't kill you but I feel like it's luck surviving that. 1:34 he throws down a circle of black flame. If you are inside you can roll through to safety. I just stay out watching the boss for next attack and if he does the laser beam (The bait attack i want) i needed to gauge if it was safe to go in for a skilled or sit back. 1:41 you can run behind pillers which is riskier and also hide behind walls far enough from boss to pop consumables like flasks and buffs. I dont think i ever did this in this attempt, but you can hit him canceling his attack, i do think it can be risky gauging what you can and cannot get away with so I don't usually do it but it is an option. 🙂 That's pretty much it. Hopefully this is useful to someone or any of my future attempts

Phase 1 Strat. Mainly I like baiting close boss attacks by swapping between the invisible circles... Swapping between mid and close boss attacks. I generally don't like to be too close to the boss to worry about the multiple different close combat moves from the boss. But there is one that that's a semi swipe that I can get in for some easy damage that I'm trying to bait. It's a 0:37 You don't really get to see me baiting him in this video because phase 1 got extremely lucky rng. 0:03 throws a boulder at you Easy to dodge and if you are close enough you can run up and Get a hit. 0:08 boss slams the ground and will either throw a single wave of ground claw at you or will... (Didnt happrn in gameplay) Cause multiple waves on each side. Both can be jumped over or rolled through. Can go in for a single hit. 0:13,0:19 will throw a wave of rocks that can be rolled through and get in a single hit 0:16 sometimes if you're close he will evade and throw rocks all you can do is roll through 0:37 boss does a semi swipe attack you can roll through from right to left and get a heavy attack or hold back and after attack has passed you character you can go in for a hit. 0:50 periodically after a heavy attack I would throw knives afterwards. This stops the bosses invisible poise meter from depleting as quickly making it easier to stagger if I can't get in another heavy attack immediately. 0:58 Something you don't want to do is end phase 1 with a critical/viseral attack causing you to spawn in the same location in phase 2. I made this mistake 😭 If you do it correctly the bosses first two attacks are usually very predictable and usually i stagger the boss giving me easy damage at the beginning of phase 2 Im not too confident in phase 2 to write down my strat that is consistent so this is where ill end it. I kinda just got extremely lucky.

In the 23:33 clip, an eagle or vulture appeared. I remember that all animals in this game have become undead, except for the players and NPC horses. Some animals did not appear in the undead nightmare, except for undead flying creatures. There are no other birds-like creatures like bats.

My Strat 1st phase 0:07 jump Staff Plunge Just roll through... Make sure to roll on his tail side and get in a few hits 0:17 staff swipe if you roll towards him through this attack he follows up with... 0:18 staff plunge this attack is easily avoidable and can get in multiple hits on the boss. 0:22 Tail spin... If you're behind him hitting him there a good chance he will do this attack. Roll through the attack 0:48 charged staff attack 1. if you are too close he will slam down immediately after the charge or 2. to make it easier to roll through if you have distance after the charge he will do a two step towards you making it easier to time the roll imo (which 2. is the example in this timestamp). This is always followed up with a... 0:52 spin swipe attack which you can roll through and id make sure my roll ended on his tail side so I can go in for some hits. Usually follows up with a tail spin 0:22 but didn't in the 52 second time stamp. 0:58 two staggered dagger throw which is easily rollable though and even easier to avoid the farther you are away. Sometimes far enough I just walked out of the way of the throw.😂 2:54 he swipes vertically with his staff... As I was baiting him he did this. I just rolled away. I really hope these written strats help reduce the learning on these bosses for me or other fellow Tarnished.

My Strat. 2nd phase 0:00 Hammer jump slam He will do his famous er quote and always slam his hammer down. Dodge through and make sure to get on his tail side and get in a hit. Usually 2 hits 0:04 roll through his staff and hammer attack by being far enough away or rolling away he follows up almost always with a... 0:06 a staff slash which you can roll through his attack towards him. And look for 2 different moves followed up after 0:08 he can do a staff plunge into the ground which is easily avoidable and you can go in for multiple attacks. 1:33 or a yellow dagger move which I just have been rolling to safety 0:34 charged up staff attack Which if you're far enough away he will do a two step towards you making it easier to roll through or if you're too close to him he will slam his staff down immediately after the charge. 0:38 far enough away from previous attack he will follow up with a swipe roll. Watch 0:34 for full combo 1:02 Margits Combo this combo is scary and can be rolled through all 4 swipes but id recommended trying you're hardest to keep distance and not ever putting yourself too close to the wall/cliff in the 2nd phase because of this combo 1:29 he does whatever combo this is which is easy to avoid if you keep your distance.

My goal was to finish all 20 fire put outs on island 2 and start working on police missions. I think I got 2 out of 20 for police and I did finish all 20 firefighter.

I'm going to call myself out. I sucked in this boss fight. Still got the win.

I just started a new character to do this fight. Took me 30 tries to defeat him. Most of it was just me learning this boss.

My strat I two hand my weapon by triangle and r2 Immediately run up to him with no hesitation and get in a free heavy attack Every 3 heavy attacks it staggers the boss... Holding R2 or run jump R2. Just pressing R2 doesn't build enough poise damage. He can do a combo and at the end he stabs. If you roll to the left of him on his right side. You should wait to see if he starts the double swipe. I immediately get in a charged attack. If he doesn't just back off He can do a double roll with swipes that I just tried to dodged to safety because most of the time I was too far to get a hit. Unlike my other attempts I somehow managed to get in a hit in the video. He can do a jump plunge attack which you can roll through and get in a charged attack. If he screams at the end you can run jump R2 to get in an attack. He can go into a stance and do a series of scary stabs. At the end you can run in for a jump R2 attack. In phase 2 his weapon just does more damage which is more intimidating than anything. Same exact attack patterns. This was with the level 1 class

This felt like major luck but here's my strat Immediately as you start try to bait the big guys fire attack or critical stab attack. Hitting any will make them able to run so I hit the big guy. The fire ball throw you can run up to him or roll through attack and get in two hits or i got in a special attack. Watch out for skinny guy and make sure he's on screen always. If he goes off screen you are always playing with luck. Also don't hit him at all or you just make it even harder and if he goes to half health good luck. Also I found out you don't need to attack the skinny guy at all to beat this boss unlike how I thought I had to in the video. If he does a hilt slam you can roll and get 1 hit. He sometimes follows up with a double foot slam after that you can go in for 2 attacks or a critical hit. He does a number of stab attacks I just rolled away and felt it was too risky for any attacks. At half health he will go into his 2nd phase While transitioning if I did a special attack just before I could go in for another to stun him. Now he's much more dangerous. Multiple stabs which there are 4 waves. If you roll through the last 1 you can get a hit and I've seen in other videos they just run up to him after the attack but it is still risky because He has a belly explosion which if poorly timed you can take damage. I had just barely stab him so I can roll farther away just in case. He critical stab which can get 2 hits or special and sometimes followed up by two feet slabs which can get more hits If he rolls you can roll through it by rolling forwards right before he hits you. I try to not break too many columns You can stop his roll by having him hit the flat edge of the floor columns. If he hits the corner he will ride up on top of it. Also if he's too close he can also just climb over it. After rolling you can go on to columns or run circles. If the skinny guy just so happens to be aggro while he's rolling good luck because that's just RNG and if you are low health like me you'll probably definitely die. Once I killed him I just waited till he respawn and rinse and repeat till you beat the boss. You can use sleeping pots which I was planning on using on just the skinny guy because I assumed the big guy couldn't spawn with the boss overall health being that low but I was wrong. You only need to damage the big guy all fight to win.

The umbrella does .5 damage than the normal sword and is needed for a trophy by completing a playthrough with only the umbrella as your weapon.

My Strategy 2 hits and you die Make sure you unequip some armour so you can fast roll. I don't think it matters what class you pick but I picked the class with the silver armor. In phase 1 About every 10 hits or so he gets stunned which can start the next attack extremely quick or in the next phase have two attacks at once. Like lasers from the sky and a random other attack. My main goal is to get behind him and get in 2-3 hits. Biggest concern is to have enough green to roll to avoid attacks. He can jump and you can easily just walk behind him and build up stamina and get in a few hits... When he land he has an aoe laser which can be rolled if you accidentally are in front of him. He can do a swipe attack which can be very easy to get hurt. Especially if the boss is close to the wall He can shoot lasers which you just want to roll behind him and get in some hits. Too close to the walls this can be extra dangerous He can punch the ground which is pretty easy to get hurt by that. Try to roll behind for some easy hits He can punch the ground and there's an aoe which can actually hurt you sometimes if you're too close to his foot when behind him. Too close to the wall can make this extra dangerous because now you have to roll through this attack. At 55% health left he changes into phase 2 If he shoots lasers at the ground get ready because his next attack he jumps across the screen which you need to run in front of him and get in some attacks. After jumping he will shoot lasers at you and if you weren't prepared to run you will very easily die in 1 hit no matter how much health you have. So remember if he shoots the lasers at the ground and you didn't stun him get ready to immediately sprint towards him. He now make it rain lasers. Just avoid by being in a clear area or time your roll Not the best idea to attack if you're unsure if you might be close to a stun. All other attacks should be the same as the first phase. At 25% health he starts phase 3 Just adds 1 new combo... Just two moves from phase 1 but back to back Sometimes after attacking the boss he will do a very quick slam just like in phase 1 and the follow up with a swipe. Just like in phase 1. If you can manage to beat him congratulations this is a pain to learn and takes approx 6 minutes. 13,000 salt consumables as a reward that take you to level 15.
