I’m from a northern First Nations tribal group on the Canada border. It warms my heart to see native people rejoicing and being energized by their ceremonial gathering. Here colonialism has hurt tribal traditions exponentially. Seems they only revel in taking “ trophies “ on an emotional level. They do their battling in the court of public opinion. Nice to see somehow, somewhere, native people still maintain their tribal identities

Hey Mary, We are the Torres Strait Islanders, one of the two Indigenous first nation people of Australia. We've also had our share of cultural loss, identities removed from our Aboriginal people, stolen generation where our children were being forcefully removed from their families, languages loss you name it. I guess we've all been through it, no matter where we are in the world. My people to this day are still fighting to get our voices heard. We are still fighting to protect our scared lands, artifacts, languages etc. I've been wanting to go to North America for such a long time now, I've been so fascinated with their Indigenous people and culture and wanting to learn more.

@@daisy.thaiday My e mail [email protected] Please respond in kind. I would be thrilled to be “ pen pals” with any of you or your people who are curious or even bored . I’ve participated I’m many of the spiritual teaching of various North America tribes. But would love to learn about other indigenous peoples too. As well as every day stuff. Past and present . Though I would prefer to message more privately when the intimacy of ceremony and traditional medicine are concerned. Many people would be glad to host or meet u and yours here in northern Michigan . See first hand our customs etc
