Lovely, but I think it is way too tall for short Minoans and the door too. Way too big. I love it tho. Wish I could be there helping and reliving Minoan Atlantis. I would grow the garden and make goat skin things. Thanks, Paul in Thailand

The roof needs a thick layer of domatochoma pressed hard into place and renewed each spring. We have lived this. Congratulations on a wonderful house.

+Nicholas Katzakis We restored a two-hundred metochi of the Moni Toplou at Palaikastro and now use it for our dig apotheke and living quarters. The domatochoma roof needs redoing every few years, but it is lightweight and cool in summer.

What an outstanding achievement! This is multi-dimensional archaeology based in the fundamental human relationship to the land itself that will keep on revealing new things about Crete's Minoan centuries---not least, about the people outside of the great "palaces" and the parts they played in the whole island's culture and economy. BRAVA! May it prosper with the years....

A very worthy effort towards conservation and education about an ancient place with impressive remaining structures, within a rare Cretan forest park setting. Dr Beckmann deserves much credit for her long term commitment to planning, educational outreach and park enhancement, particularly in these difficult financial times in Greece.

Awesome vid. I know Meyer was in the Built to Kill episodes at season 7's opening. So the Meyer song is a favorite to use on CSI music videos. Whenever I see a CSI vid with this song it gives me a "Storyteller's Claustrophobia" like I need to be out there writing stories and shows just like this!!!
