Mean people suck and I literally run away from drama every chance I get however I will stand up for myself and those I care about when needed. Love this video so much , I bite my tongue when it's not directly involving myself and you make me think about that alot, like am I right in avoiding all confrontation and drama amongst friends and family? Should I be more involved ? It's something to think about. Thank you Beth your always instilling knowledge in this ol noggin of mine 🥰💕

It's so hard, sometimes, to know the right response. I try to think about intent. Is the person intending to be mean or does it just come across that way? For example, my really good friend is very Roman Catholic and sometimes she doesn't realize that she comes across as a bully even though that's not her intention. So, I try to chat about "approach" and "perception," but she doesn't see the difference because she believes so much in her message. At that point, I felt that Spirit had led me as far as I could go, and then I just had to let it go. Yes, she was saying things I felt were hurtful, but she didn't intend it, but, bah, for my love of her, I just had to drop that line of discussion. I still love her as friend, and when she brings up religion, I smile, and say something defusing like 'Hey look! A Panda on the loose!"

I deeply resonate with your feelings with feeling as if you dont belong..Many have questioned my identity, suggesting I can't fully embrace Norse paganism because I’m not entirely Scandinavian only a little over a quarter. Others argue that my Indigenous heritage doesn’t count since I’m only a fraction of Ojibwe, despite my great-grandmother's and many ancestors being born on our reservation. Yet, I believe every thread of my ancestry weaves into my spirit, and I have the right to honor and draw from all those heritages that resonate within me. Each part of my lineage enriches my spiritual path, and I choose to embrace them all.

I love seeing things from different perspectives🥰you truly are a good unique soul , tysm for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful day 🌞

I can't speak for the rest of us on youtube, but I think lots of us are using the candles in our spiritual practices 😂 We all dont share everything we do in this space for lots of different reasons. Just like you wouldn't film yourself at church, or in your thin place many aren't comfortable sharing their practice online. We all know that believing anything outside of Christianity can be literally dangerous, so im sure many are not comfortable putting themselves out there. Sharing what we get in boxes is a safe (ish) way to connect with each other without exposing ourselves to danger. We get comments from Christians telling us to just find Jesus or that our practice will send us to hell so if just sharing tools gets that attention, imagine what we would get if we share ALL of our beliefs or practices. Or maybe some of us just worship the God of Capatalism, 😂 Something to ask yourself, why does it bother you? Do you feel some guilt in participating in this? Its always god practice to ask ourselves why we criticize or judge and oftem times its sometjing within yourselves❤.

I think you raise really good points, Alisia. I get so much hate mail from both the Christian community AND the pagan community with both sides saying I can't be the other. It's hardest when the hate mail comes from within, but it's OK; I am a tough old lady ;p It actually doesn't bother me that folks don't share their spiritual practices or rituals, especially when they don't promise to do so. Our sisterhood, for example, has a lot of unboxers who don't share their rituals, but they don't pretend to want to share a particular practice. I was speaking of larger channels that say, "Learn how to be a witch," but then don't do/teach witch stuff. I should have made that more clear. One channel I really like for new witches is Ginny Mitheral. She explains the rituals and shows how to do them, and I think that must be very helpful. It's helpful to me, as an onlooker, because it says, here's WHY we do the ritual and here's WHAT we need and here's HOW we do it. I like those channels best because they offer something for everyone. But, I agree, people in alternate spiritualities have to be careful, as witch hunts come around every so often, and whether I call myself a witch or not, I would be tagged and burned as one nonetheless.
@alisiawitchcrafter9 күн бұрын
We would all be burned 😂😢 Unfortunately its a hard situation for anyone, even some Christians, to find safe spaces. And as youve said even Christians cant agree. I think that your beliefs align very much with the beliefs of a lot of "witches". @BethRitterGuth

My reactions " mm- hmm" I am learning, this is fascinating...hope your good Beth!!! Would you say you're a specific denomination of Christianity - pagan? Or an overall sense of - like a hodgepodge of Christian ideals that you follow/ believe? Would you consider yourself a ( I hate titles, I'm sorry, understanding is all) Christian witch? I think of this as something, idk, more open. Exactly!! I always thought - maybe I shouldn't say this😅, but I believed Jesus would roll over in his grave from what certain people 'do' in his name,' feel' in his name, ' behave'. . And all the art- I always thought , I wish they drew trees/ mountains/ all earth, not a representational version of the man( prophet - whatever you believe) , I guess I believed when I was a child, church hopping, HE-voiced 'GOD', and not himself. Which felt 'against' his teachings. Sorry, I babble.. 😅 I am just intrigued, and I have been totally meaning to know this about you .Thanks for sharing! ❤😊
@BethRitterGuth9 күн бұрын
This is such a beautiful question. Thank you for asking. I don't identify as a witch or pagan. I do identify as a Celtic Christian Spiritualist. While I was raised in a conservative branch of the Church of England, I don't resonate at all with the politics that plague that (and most) denomination (s). I consider myself both "all denominational" and "nondenominational," if that makes sense. I see value in all teachings of all major religions, witchcraft, paganism, Druidry, et al., but I pick and choose those things that the Spirit leads me toward. In all instances of my faithful life, I have never waivered on the belief that Jesus is the Son of God and was sent here to lead us by example, and we, unhappy to be instructed, killed him for it. I agree that Jesus is probably flustered by the acts done in his name when his teachings centered on loving your neighbor and helping the poor, sick, homeless, etc. At no time do his recorded words or actions display hatred. His only example of "anger" was throwing the gamblers out of the Temple because their gambling was getting in the way of worship. If we truly loved our neighbors, we could not sustain war, greed, prejudice, or anything like it. No one would go hungry, homeless, loveless.
@TABG11139 күн бұрын
Yep, I agree. With everything you are saying. Ah . I was going to actually say 'spiritually/ spiritualist'. 😊 But, whatever 'you'd' call it, as long as it makes you feel good/ helpful and loved is really anyone could/ would want. Ty ty ty!! 😊 ❤

Ohmygosh! So sorry ..Maybe some time you can tell about your ideas, I guess of Angels? That's a struggle for me to comprehend spiritually. And I've been kinda learning about archangels , well from KZbin. It's just such a CURIOSITY I feel required to 'get'- whether or not I would 'ever want to bring them in the fold'. Hope to hear your beliefs/ practices (?) on this. Ty

Wow so much to say about this! First off I want to thank you for acknowledging that we all benefit from the what happened to the indigenous and black people in our country. I've wanted to discuss this with you because you often say your family wasn't here but it's also important to know that everyone of us is a beneficiary (well except for the black and indigenous people for a large part) of what happened here. Even immigrants who were "allowed" to come here and take/buy land and continue to do so and build lives on the land that was lived on by indigenous peoples and with the infrastructure that was for the most part built by the blood of black people. This includes a lot of my ancestors because I am also from "all over the place" genetically. I know you are an ally and learning how to deal with that is tough and you are doing the work and that is really all that anyone can ask for and it's admirable friend! I also have to contend with some tricky ancestor stuff on my mom's side. It's pretty likely that we would have been involved in some capacity with slavery and the genocide of indigenous people (even passively) while at the same time my father's family had to endure and survive those atrocities. But that is not our story, our story is of kindness, awareness, reparations, learning, loving and always being open minded to each others positions in this world. For instance, we live a life that our ancestors could not have imagined! There is a Choctaw saying that says, be the ancestor you want your ancestors to be. The quest to find where we belong seems to be a bigger and bigger struggle for most people as we blend cultures and move about the world. BUT we forget that we are all just humans sharing, blending, creating new cultures. Ancestry work is so healing and can really help us learn so much about ourselves and really heal some very old wounds. It is said that genetic trauma can last 7 generations if not healed, but can be healed much quicker if addressed. Keep up the good work. Love you Beth!

Love watching and learning from you! You really put my thoughts into words regarding always needing something to accomplish. Because of my body not cooperating the way I want it to I've had to have a lot down time and it's really hard for me. I love to do and get things done. But it's a lesson for me to care for myself.
