Hello Herma, j'aimerais essayer mais je me demande quel tissu vous utilisez en dessous pour le fond? Du coton ou de la ouate? Merci pour votre réponse

Hi Nadine, I use wadding to stitch onto. You can also use flannel or denim or wool. As long as it's stable and easy to stitch through. You can try different things and see what you like best. Let me know if you need more help. Happy stitching ❤

I think you are referring to the batting I use to stitch onto? You can use batting (thin, I use 80/20 Hobbs), flannel, felt, or anything else that works for you. Hope this helps :)

Thank you SO MUCH for these tutorials. To say I am inspired to try this is an understatement! I love your clever use of fabrics and types of buttons, and the fun use of cutouts such as the coral! Now to look at the way you use these after they are finished. I was curious about joining the squares.

Hi, I am new and I'm keen to start on my very first piece of embroidery going round in circles. Is there any other fabric that you would recommend to use as the base instead of using felt?
@HermadeRuiter4 ай бұрын
I use batting/wadding but you can use flannel or denim as well. As long as it’s a firm base to stitch on ❤

Ciao come stai? Buon anno nuovo! Una domanda. Era da un po' che non ne facevo più e sto ricominciando adesso. Per le misure batting e quadrati. In un quadrato di 4.5" i quadrati di stoffa di quanto li fai? Per centrare dopo il bottone 🤭👌
@HermadeRuiter Жыл бұрын
Io faccio quadrati di 4" con quadrati di stoffa 2" x 2,5". Per un quadrato di 4,5" penso che quadrati di stoffa di 2,25" x 2,75" vanno bene. Buon 2024!

This craft, or art form, requires only the simplest of tools and supplies. It is accessible to almost all! And yet it can create rather substantive pieces when combined in a meaningful way. The “doing” of handi-arts is so meditative and satisfying. I’m grateful to have stumbled on your FB group, Herma! I’m now plotting on how to approach the finding of proper buttons and on building my fabric stash! And I have two squares cut out, one I am stitching and the other is waiting impatiently for me to start!
