Can you tell me where to get engine rebuild parts? There's kits on ebay but am not sure if there any good. What about crank shaft and cams? Did you replace? I have an 85 that needs a engine part rebuild or full i won't know until its taken apart. Any advise would be helpful. Beautiful job you did on yours, i love the colour.

I usually find everything second hand and on forums, I’d try to go oem as much as possible if you have to rebuild. Some people still have that stuff laying around

how much cash can i expect to put in on mine starting from a similar point? and where did you get your parts from?
@NostalgiaHeroDriving9 ай бұрын
So it varies, we for the chassis for 500 dollars and did all the work ourselves. But we’re probably in about 5k ish I’d say. But it has itbs and coilovers and everything now. Parts have to come from other local mr2 people or twosrus

Excellent work vlogging your restoration. We tackled a similar project a few years ago, using 3 parts cars in various condition managed to make one really nice MK1a (and help out a lot of other enthusiasts with the spare parts). Haven't driven it too much but planning on hitting a MR2 specific car meet in New Jersey next week. Been looking up videos to get me stoked for the drive. Anyway, just want to say, see if can source the original intake box or at least run some duct work to get cold air from the bottom of the engine bay. The air that passes upward through the vents is very hot from the exhaust header.
