Yes sir exactly, this process is increasing the rod length total of 2mm increase. But in this video 0.50mm only because the 1.50mm I offset during counterbore bigger on the rod small end, which I already upload the video recently counterbore process.

Those sleeves are "HARDENED STEEL " !!! but that one is Not Now !! 350° - 450° is more than enough... heating till red hot (900° at least) removes the hardness

When grinding the crank for me we have to know the capacity of the machine some can move sideward even cutting big without vibration. For safety have to left around 20microns for finishing.

Yes sir, a lot of factors to consider and overheating is one of those. When the engine overheated the temperature goes up and when the engine is very very hot can cause a lot of internal parts clearances changes and the engine oil also becomes very thin and if the oil is very thin the oil pressure drops. If the oil pressure drops can cause insufficient oil supply to the bearings.🙏🙏
