I think this might help me with my social anxiety. I have never joined a platform because I'm not comfortable with how openly hostile most of them are. Its like no one can have a nice conversation. Everyone has to be A holes. I like having control of a space where I can be my little nature loving self who has a fixation on geology, traditional art, and little crafts with no worries about that hostility, because I won't have a way to comment. There would no way for these cruel people to reach me. My page will be an oasis for me and those looking for somewhere calm, chill, and inspiring (hopefully). Maybe I can make it a summer project this year.

I've been doing this as well! I have fallen so out of love with traditional social media and wanted to build a place for me the way I wanted it. I went the route of making a blog on wix. It's full of artsy, gothic, vampiric, literature vibes, and I love it so much!

This was MySpace for us back in the day! Sure we had friends and talked to people, but I feel like it was primarily a form of true self expression. I learned html just from looking at preset layouts, and trial and error. We also had Xanga and things like that that we could fully customize and functioned as a personal website. Such good times. I’ve really been wanting a desk top. If I ever do get one I will 100% have to make myself a website!! I didn’t know people were doing this :) so cool!

This was a sweet video, I really enjoyed it! Seeing you go down rabbit holes of exploring other people’s blogs gave me a lot of inspiration with how I’d like mine to look! It really does hearken back to the days where the internet really was an interconnected web where you could pick a thread and see where it leads as opposed to the endless scroll we’ve found ourselves in with modern social media
