I recall episodes with Kenneth Branagh and Alfred Marks in the cast.

@@robinvanags912 yes indeed too. The series ran from 1981 to 1983 as far as I know. I don't think it was ever reshown though oddly. It starred Patrick Stewart as dr Eddie roebuck in a hospital then. Before of course he starred later in the star trek update around 1990 as I remember him then being on the cover of the radio Times so too.

The S4C promo ending gives me vibes of Network 2’s promos which were used a bit later in around 1993 / 94 (Network 2 being RTE 2 in Ireland from 1988 to 2004)

When closing a bulletin, Richard Baker always has to stare at the monitor to make sure he fades out correctly. It's usually a subtle over the glasses type of peak but he does it every time. Not an earth shatteringly interesting piece of information I grant you but it might come in handy if you're ever attending a pub quiz and they're asking questions about Richard Baker's sign-off techniques.

You have to admire Michael Fish's sliding cloud technique. If you fancied going to a Mediterranean location...you would had to be aware cos there was a bit of 'Low' pressure down there when Fishy's about. Know what I mean.

Good to see Nuttall's Mintoes again! The Coke one made me laugh. We stopped at a service station in Summer '76 and there was a vending machine outside selling Coke via those cardboard cups. It was a really hot day. My Mum gave me some money and I felt really as "cool" as a 10 year old can feel, using the machine. Put the money in the slot. A cup dropped down, but it already had some Coke in it, plus about 5 very noisy wasps! 😱 I ran away to the car!!😂😂
