Hello dears, I wouldn't trade living in Burnaby with any other city in the world because of its beautiful nature and sense of safety thanks to the hardworking municipality of Burnaby. Thank you to Burnaby Municipality and wishing you success in God's shelter 🌹💐❤️🙏❤️💐🌹

That Sport Box has destroyed Confederation Park. It appears to have been done with little to no public input. It looks like an industrial Building in the centre of the park. It is huge and dominates the entire park. It blocks views of the mountains completely from the South East side of the park. In these times of global warming there is more tarmac and parking around the outside of the building than was in the original Lacrosse Box it replaced. Burnaby needs its green parks not garbage structures like this one. Shame on you Burnaby for building this in the centre of our park. We do not celebrate this structure we mourn the loss of our green space that will be gone for generations.

Tell that to the kids who love to play in the sports box & other recreation facilities. I supposed folks would complain about swimming pools being built as well.

I am proud to have lived in Burnaby since 1987. I have found the city to be very responsible and responsive to the few calls I’ve made, when necessary. Keep up the good work. A proud member of Burnaby.

Jared, thanks for sharing our park. Sadly, last week, a mugging occurred by the pool. Also, I would appreciate sharing the back story regarding the perimeter trail, In June, 2013, at Edmonds Community new community centre, Burnaby Parks held their meeting. EBACA's leadership, from Edmonds Burnaby and Community Association, shared a presentation with slides of the perimeter of the park and suggestion for improvement. 10 years later, perimeter trail has been completed. Acknowledging citizens ideas in honourable and shows collaboration with city - a win win. Thanks in advance.

The video talks only about "homes". What about businesses, and other organizations such as non-Burnaby government offices (provincial for example), churches, etc.? Are the rates the same in the rate * value calculation across the types of ownerships?

There's some heavy DEI influence in this, and it's just done so poorly. Shame on whoever gave this the OK. It's more racist in my opinion to just stick a black person in an ad and think you're making a difference. It comes across as very box check-y. Do a bit of research on your own city and maybe include people/a spokesperson who actually reflects the make-up of the city. I can probably count on 1 or 2 hands how many black people with cornrows I've seen in Vancouver, let alone Burnaby, and I've lived here my entire life. Very poorly done, folks.

I love the LED lights for their efficiency - they of course use less electricity. They are probably better from the maintenance perspective as they last longer. However, they are also brighter. In most cases that's great, but if there is one of those in front of your bedroom window, that's not so great. The older, darker lights were better. I am not sure if we needed lights to be brighter in residential neighbourhoods. We could probably save even more electricity, and achieve higher longevity if we tone them down a bit.

@CityofBurnaby when are you guys going to improve the labor laws and implement a 28 working day paid vacation law for all workers within Burnaby? UK has this law and many European countries are close to the same There is a nursing and HCA shortage and yet the union collective agreements here would still be considered illegal by european standards
@TRexOne
@TRexOne 10 ай бұрын
28 vacation days - that's kind of rich. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it, but we should work towards goals like that at the country or at least the provincial level so everyone can benefit, not just a select few. The current labour standards are 10 days - 28 is a huge jump.
