I was plagued by technical difficulties and realized too late that there's a spot of audio missing in the middle. My apologies for that, I'll end up uploading a new version once I've recorded the rest of the set :)

Such a fun one! I'll have to dust this on off and see how much I remember. Definitely one of my favorites by Rachmaninoff. Love your melody throughout; it's a tough one to bring out with all the busyness and you made it sound so beautiful!

Thanks very much! It's such a great piece, glad to hear it came through well for someone else who's played it :) You definitely should get it back out!

This is the score to the opening scene of a movie, with someone important in the back seat of an armored sedan on the phone, a cooling rain pelting the exterior... Opening credits flashing in contrast to random expositional flash-backs. The rain.... the tension... the _cooling rain._

Oh cool it's not bad fingering, my hands just like to lock on the right hand of 2:40-ish 💀 Thank you for letting me see your hands for it 😭

Hello Ryan, I loved your performance playing Philip Glass Etude No. 11 How you incorporated the use of triplets into piece is really amazing.

Wonderful sir, wonderfully played. But why playing one note with one finger? Why not 3,2,1 🙂
@ryanswankmusic42076 ай бұрын
Thanks! The fingering decision was actually the result of the action on my keyboard not being quite fast enough for 3,2,1 repeated notes. On an acoustic piano I'd play it that way but with this keyboard one finger was just the way it had to go :)
@m.a.g.3920Ай бұрын
I neither like the 3-2-1 fingering on this, you lose the correct super strict pace, I prefer the nuances you get with only one finger

That's a pretty sweet improv man. I'm not sure from a production standpoint how easy this is, but if you have the keyboard I think you do, I've always found transitioning from strings to piano a really cool sound, maybe something you could mess around with at some point. Love the choir vocals in this too!
