Hello Mimi. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts about remote jobs. But, this is my second day at the job today, and believe I got overwhelmed by my department colleague's behavior. He doesn't try to share any plans or train me and also whole people are busy with their work. I don't know what to do or not do. Can you please give me some advise on how to stay calm and get adjusted to the environment. Thanks in advance!

Great habits for work at home! I prefer pen and paper checklists too. Whenever I have digital ones, I end up losing track of them on my screens between all the tabs so having a physical list at my ready to write even micro tasks helps keep me focused. Also agree with you on dressing up and makeup. It’s like the room change habit, helps with mental separation between on and off mode. Sending good vibes to everyone else studying or working from home 🤗

Hi Mimi. Thank you for inviting us along on your work week. I discovered your channel about an hour ago, as i was researching Designlab. I'm considering a career change into UX/UI Design. As someone who tends to get hyper-focused on design and perfectionism, that criticism can sometimes feel like a death-blow to your confidence. Oh and don't even let me begin with Imposter syndrome. lol. Nonetheless, i wanted to thank you for sharing. It's refreshing and also a great way for someone like myself to get an idea of what goes into a realistic work week as a UX designer.

❤ I also love your content. I love that you’re honestly saying how it is and not just using fluff, but I have a question. How did you find startups to work for because I know it’s easy to look and search for big companies but how did you find startups
@AngelicaDFranklin2 ай бұрын
Love the honesty, and I get it I work in retail now and it’s so repetitive but jumping into tech or a career that needs you to be updated and I for tends is a hill to climb but I am getting into tech now and I’m learning how to code( python) and even learning you XUI design as a phase because I’m realizing I come from a marketing program and I love marketing, but I also wanted to learn text so I can have double the skills but I understand when you said that sometimes you just wanna be left alone you don’t want to collaborate you don’t want to have to stay up-to-date. You just want a job that doesn’t strain your brain but since you’re in it, I do believe you made the right choice because in the long run, knowing and understanding tech, you will always have a job even during layoffs you will always be needed just like working as a data engineer a software engineer, marketing manager, those positions will always be needed❤️
