Hi, Kenny. I wondered about hydrating the clay before adding it to the batter. I have read that clays soak up a lot of water, and some soapers hydrate them at 1 tsp. clay to 1 tbsp. water. I noticed that you didn't do that. Do you have a greater water amount to account for the clay? Thank you.

Another thing that could have happened is, you didn’t do a water discount on the oats that you added. If they were dry, you would not have to do a water discount, but because it is the oats that you used to make the oat milk they were still moist and contained fluid.

Do you not get brown specs from the Sodium Lactate in the lye for so long? It happens to me every last time. LOL. I add it at the last minute to keep it from leaving specks in my soap. My mom, a chemist, told me not to mix my lye in a glass container unless the glass was a "candle heat" jar. She talked me into using plastic and I've never went back to glass because when they bust its a nightmare. LOL. Thank you for the tips and information. I've been master batching oils but the lye I wait until the morning I'm making the soap. I guess I just need to go for it.

Hmmm, I would say it pretty thick in consistency, but I didn't find it too sticky when I had to clean any spills.

Unfortunately, the color won't stick during the soponification process. If anything, it'll turn brown or tan.

I cooked my vrumbly mess in a large staonless pot on medium keep adding water and until smooth (took almost an hour) lots of love and patience , added rosemary and apricot oils (little) stick blended short bursts and poured back into my mold 😅
