This is SUCH a great topic sis! I think it's very easy to look around and feel that others are overnight successes, but the fact is there is so much beauty in taking the slow route to where you're trying to go! You learn all the lessons needed to ensure that you can stay at the top once you get there!

What I’ve come to realize is a lot of good/great things in life TAKE TIME!! Another example is losing weight - when done healthily, the progress is super slow and not always noticeable then one day BAM it looks like you suddenly dropped so much weight when in reality it’s the consistent work you’ve been putting in for months if not years! Also because it was done slowly, it much more sustainable and you’ll likely keep the weight off rather than if you had done a fad diet to drop weight very quickly which will probably result in the weight coming right back. Loved the reminder that success seldom comes overnight and in moment where it really seems like that’s the case, it’s not lol

Exactly! And I love that analogy about losing weight. We never really notice the progress we are making every day but it is amounting to something big in the end! And yes to slow but sustainable growth! Thank you for watching and commenting.

My self esteem has definitely improved over the years!! For a while I faked it till I made it, but right now what I do is do the work as much as I can in areas I'm not pleased in, and focus. Even on my bad days, I'm just like don't worry, you won't feel this way tomorrow, or oh no girl you cannot afford to feel this way about yourself, self-hate is expensive lmao but self-love is way cheaper. I also make it a habit to listen to female rap stars like Megan the Stallion and Flo Milli to get me going, they encourage me to talk my shit, pop out and show people y'know. This was an amazing video <3 I loved the "I am my beauty standard" point. Thank you Tobi!
