I have to agree, the staff is amazing. The were head and shoulders above the other Marriott properties in the valley. I was welcomed w/ a smile from all the staff I encountered.

do they usually have entertainment. was there any part of the beach you could walk on and enjoy without seaweed

The whole beach is pristine w/ no seaweed. All of the beach is protected by large boulders so the beaches stay relatively calm and clear of seeweed. There is little to no entertainment as they try to keep the property as quiet and secluded as possible. There will be events in the library like mixers or wine tasting but nothing in the form of live music etc.
