So how did you connect the pc to the speakers and sub? Looking to put together a similar setup with the Edifier 1700bts with the Jamo sub 210 connected to my PC.
@ACBMemphisКүн бұрын
The PC is connected via USB cable, and the sub is connected to the speakers using the sub out jack on the speakers. If the Edifier speakers do not have a dedicated subwoofer connection, you might have to split the line out from your soundcard instead. Google "edifier 1700bt sub output" there are some suggestions on a reddit posting... Thanks for the comment!

Cannot use aftermarket ink after downloading the latest firmware SG22OB which branded itself as "Recovery Firmware". I though it was going to help me, but it bricked my WF-4833 & I can no longer use the generic ink that was working perfectly fine. This is infuriating. I even field a BBB complaint and Epson stood firm, continuing trying to bully me into buying their in which is outrageous and illegal & they would not offer me any recourse to roll-back the firmware update. Can you imagine if auto manufacturers forced you to purchase your car brand's factory made oils & parts in order for your car to run? I'm now filing a complaint with Nevada A.G., and I encourage you to do the same with your A.G.

Great video! Can you please advise and illustrate whats the Sync Play about?
@ACBMemphis4 күн бұрын
Thanks... connecting the cable to the "Sync Play" jack enables the tape deck to auto-pause a recording in sync with LP playback, as demonstrated at around 1:50 in the video. For example, if you wanted to record tracks from various LPs into a "mix tape" then you just start and stop the record player and the tape deck would auto pause and restart itself.

bit late, but to my understanding this is a pretty common issue with some old auto reverse decks. the head bearing grease eventually dries out, and causes the head to only partially rotate when switching modes the 707r is the most well-known model to have this issue, least ive never seen one without it
@ACBMemphis5 күн бұрын
Interesting... Thanks for the comment! A lot of people tend to bash auto reverse decks as problem-ridden, but I never experienced anything like this with the many stereo/car/portable auto reverse machines I used in the 80s/90s until buying this one in 2021...
@imcrow66744 күн бұрын
@@ACBMemphis i cant remember what other models had this issue, but i recall there being 1-2 others. but yeah auto reverse decks usually work fine all-round, even auto reverse walkmans almost never have issues related to the auto reverse mechanism. though, its a pretty small price to pay with how neat the deck looks, and how well it can perform after some calibrating and service

I used to listen to casey kasem's weekly countdown on VOA Europe shortwave broadcast , I thought they would play the comercial jingles on loop cartridge tapes , using this vinyl record it will be much easier while doing a long ' Live ' radio broadcast.

Pioneer decks were all very good, i tried a CT-200 ,new and was amazed by it´s quality, the lowest reference in 79 but already had electronic keys for all functions with needles as vu meters

the blaupunkt decks even when looking not that good had a play/record quality of a high-end deck, the beocord 6000 was one of the best decks around when released, strange that is a fact but as all other components in the 6000 system, ther Sanyo RD-S45 while it wor5ked was a verym nice deck but as all i had from sanyo will stop one day without even looking like it a faulty part , was like the bermuda triangle style ,when having something that wouldn´t allow it to wiork perfect, nothing could show which was the problem, the K-960 from yamaha was and is a great deck, the decks released later had not nothing so well built

buy them if working properlly, the sharp deck it´s showed first i had it in a optonica / sharp system and it was very modern at the time but nothing that i wouldn´t have already with more quality ,the turntable had a s-shaped arm but with linear tracking so while it worked , Lp´s would sound the more perfect possible, but sold it all as it was easier to sell it all together

Adding the deleted scene explains HIS explanation but it's still stupid. Put a non-compete clause in the contract--now competitors can't use them. If you don't want to keep paying them--DON'T. You'll find some pretty person who'll go for it. THEY made up the rule that they would pay the models for the rest of their lives. The models didn't ask for it. People will do p0rn, so they certainly will sell you their face for $200K, even in today's money.

Anyone having these pieces of history is very lucky. Please note that the songs played in the program are in fact edited from their original single versions for time constraints purposes. I know that the programs were also recorded on CD for radio playback in the 90's.

I wonder how good the recordings are i.e. did they have access to the "master tapes" ..? In any case, the sound quality must have been good enough for broadcasting. Yes, I was lucky to find these records for under $40 and am always looking for others... Anyway thanks for watching and commenting!

Fun fact: a low power vcr would transmit a clock pulse every 1.24 seconds, the resulting of the power filling the capacitor in the VCR cause the pulse every 1.24 second then it drains the power for that signal pulse, so the next time your VCR sents clock pulse set it for a repair on the power source

Our family used to have one just like this but made by GE, same form factor and look. After moving so many times I have no idea where it went unfortunately :[ I remember a long time ago, in the mid 90s when we moved to Tempe we only had that little boombox TV as our only TV for a little while. I definitely have memories of eating chips and watching cartoons on that tiny lil screen on a Saturday morning. Of course after we got a normal TV up and running it was pretty much just a radio. Remember those 5 inch B/W TVs that you used to be able to get in Walgreens? Well funny enough I got one of those in like 1999 and used it in the car to play video games on the road, if you thought the TV boomboxes sound was anemic, this thing was downright awful but hey how else was I going to play full console games on the go?

@ACBMemphisАй бұрын
I would first check when playing if you can hear any "hiss" out of the speaker and turn the volume and see if the hiss gets louder - that means the amplifier is probably working. Another thing to try is press record and stop several times, sometimes those switches get dirty.

How to cut a call in p20i
@watdanuqta-mf5msАй бұрын
The cassette mechanism looks exactly like the one in my 7700 that I had rebuilt at the time by the person who headed all of B & O North America's service dept. There are several parts that need replacing. But first the old dried up grease needs to be removed from the reels and other spots. Then the rubber pinch roller wheels, Idler needs replacing(wiping them isn't gonna cut it), and three belts. B & O have special tapes that measure pulley force, drag in play, fast fwd & reverse that he loaned to test over the next week or so. Now it's beautiful, the whole unit with pretty good speed control. Funny thing, I don't use it and it sits in a box in my basement after having it completely restored along with an 8002 table(with the John Galt motor of the world) with Sapphire cantilever, contact line cartridge and a 4004 table, same story, with changes made to the signal wires(got rid of the DIN plug), boxed up and in my bedroom closet. One thing I do with turntables and used to do with cassette decks is to record; with turntables, play LPs that have long , sustained piano notes that hang in the air and listen for any wavering in the notes. That will tell you alot about speed control. Same with tape decks, but from recordings you make. You'll notice it if you have half decent hearing. Actually all cassette decks will fail this test in one degree or another and I don't care which one it is. I've owned all the top decks worth hearing with the exception of one or two and they all do this. I'm always, well I guess not so surprised at how many KZbin monkeys out there can't hear sh!t. Need to be doing something else with there time.
